I've wrecked my knees and back doing my job for the last 19 years, and I've been out in these so-called "arctic" conditions since 5am every day this week, with my oh so poorly back and knees, so by your reasoning, it would be acceptable for my bosses to just call work off this week, to protect it's workers from long term health problems?

No, that's the job, and I don't complain, because I choose to do it, and I'm paid well to do it. There are other professions if you can't hack the one you're in.
Health and safety in the workplace is virtually non existent in comparison to how these footballers are pampered and Molly coddled these days.

Like I said, they're not even playing on the kind of cut up, muddy frozen surfaces that WOULD'VE cut them up back in the day, it's a thick, smooth, lush carpet of grass for god sake, that might so happen to be a bit frosty and hard underneath.

They've only gotta play for 90 minutes, with a 15-20 minute break as well! GET ON WITH IT!!

We're still waiting for players to come back from injury and get back fit again. It gives them extra time to return and it gives the current 11 a much needed rest after playing so many games with little rotation. We hardly need any further injuries by forcing the game on with players studs getting stuck in frozen areas etc.

Other than having a Saturday with no football for the fans it's not exactly a bad thing that this is postponed.

Didn't know that, haven't been to a match there. It is virtually impossible as a casual supporter to get into a Dutch football match nowadays as you need to have a club affiliation via a membership scheme due to recent crowd violence so not seen the pitch and didn't even consider to think any top league side in Europe especially one with a longitude the same as London would even contemplate having an synthetic surface. Every day is a learning day.

Probably a good game for us to have postponed today given the supposed injury comebacks soon. But still a bit stuck what to do today now. Might have to be the excitement of a tax return.

sadly he works till 7.30pm week nights, and my granddaughter is working towards her next belt grading, neither can make tuesday night games

I imagine Northampton will return about 800 tickets and we'll probably be down a fair bit too for the midweek rearranged game. Gone from a 10,000 crowd to probably a 7,800 turnout. I remember way back in around 2006 when Bristol Rovers returned 2,500 tickets after selling over 4,000 for a game that was postponed. Those Tuesday home matches are really stacking up.

I was at the kassam yesterday, everywhere around there was fine defrosted, the football pitch as you cut through the leys to k***m was fine. In fact I was all around Oxford & Kidlington yesterday. Everywhere was quite normal. Where I live is right next to farmer's fields as far as the eye can see. When it's bad , it's bad.. but yesterday & today it's normal..
