Ex-Staff Liam Manning

Hugely disappointing &, I think, the first time a manager has "dumped" on us in this way. Tim Williams has every right to be very angry and I reckon our fans will never forget how LM left us in the lurch by chasing the money. He will probably be sacked by Christmas next year - I hope".
way before the end of this season I hope the pair of backstabbers get sacked , B Citys chairman interferes, is awkward and is trigger happy

Sounds like the Tim & Grant aren't impressed by Manning's actions and rightly so.

The guy went on about how people act and behave yet when it comes to it, he doesn't live up to his own standards.

We will move on and I hope it doesn't derail us too much while I hope Manning fails at Bristol City.
Absolutely this, guy is all smoke and mirrors, talks a great game but is the first to stick two fingers up.

Sincerely hope he flops at Bristol City and is out on his a**e before the season is out, he can then sit on his sofa, unemployed again, and back on his way to League 1 while watching Oxford gain promotion.

I do hope that not one member of staff saw him off when they found out that he'd dumped us in it.

Note to self..

‘Don’t ever read anything into a manager or player kissing the badge, doing olé to the crowd at the end of the game etc. I really should know better at my age!!’

We can split hairs over the contract he was given by the club, possibly we weren’t protected enough, but forget all that he has totally shafted us. To leave after 8 months after being so well backed by the club absolutely stinks. It’s very hard not to be bitter about it and I hope he well and truly f**ks up at Bristol City.

What an absolute c**t, I hope he moves pretty quickly out of Oxfordshire.

The club not even offering a half-arsed “we thank Liam and Chris for their efforts” in either the story or the quotes from upper management is quite delicious. I’m absolutely here for that level of salt. Fair is fair all around.

Galvanise for Saturday and hopefully have someone in by Cheltenham. Hopefully the club use their anger as fuel to get the right man and give them the tools in January to finish the job.

I identify with every word of that.

Glad he’s gone. Not loyalty whatsoever and it’s all about the money and himself. Got embarrassingly sacked from MK and was lucky to get a second chance with us and then he throws it back in our face at the first opportunity.

Football is a dog business and I guess we just got comfortable with KR’s loyalty which was somewhat underestimated and under-appreciated. It’s pricks like Liam that brings us and football back down to earth.

Good riddance.

I am, quite honestly, shocked at this news. Talk about double standards. I thought he would stay and finish the job. Very disappointed in Manning. When he was appointed, I considered him an honest and trustworthy guy. How wrong I was. He wanted to manage in the Championship. He would have done that with us. With the new stadium on the horizon, I really can't understand why he's done it. Talk about stabbing people in the back. I'm not usually a vindictive person, but I hope he fails.

Although I understand the reasons, it’s hard to not feel incredibly let down by this decision.

Whilst a manager can be out of a job after a few bad results, Manning has been given everything he could possibly need here to succeed, and we on the road to doing that.

I think collectively; the fans, the players and the staff; will all feel let down in their own way. To sell everyone a vision then jump ship 1/3 of the way into the season breaks his word and his promises. He doesn’t owe anyone loyalty due to the nature of football, but he’ll have to live the broken trust he’s left behind.

Only sliver lining is we get in Des Buckingham, and quick enough so that our season doesn’t de-rail.
Not sure this management will take huge risks in the appointment. I am sure it will be someone with experience in League 1 or Championship and wants to play a similar style of football.

Good luck, Liam. We're left in the best position we have been in in a long while. Excited to see who we attract atm as we are surely a hell of a more attractive prospect (especially with the stadium stuff) than we were last time we recruited.

I'm concerned it will impact certain players (Murphy) in a bad way but we judt never know. An exciting time ahead. Will be interesting to see how tonight goes

I learnt my lesson with all that bollox from the previous idiot who was here…

I’ve now got another 23 Teams to support this season added to the already 23 in League 2 . I hope he fails miserably and they sack the self serving lying fkin snake asap. Blokes a c@nt. Rant over, onwards and upwards
