when Harris was suspended for 3 games wasn't we scoring easily and winning games quite comfortably HARRIS comes back in and we can't hit a barn door something isn't right some where WE need a STRIKER or 2 in JANUARY or we will not finish in the top 6 END OFF!!!!!!

Every game our right side is being targeted. I'm not singling Long out but it's clear whatever formation and whoever plays down the right side (defence and midfield), teams are steaming through that side and easily getting behind. That is clearly an area we need to improve.

Only teasing.

But this was visible from our first few games and hasn’t gone away. It’s becoming a legacy issue going back a season or two. I liked Anderson, though, I will say, and I think we’d be a better side with him in it today. People said Brown didn’t need replacing - I’d be surprised if those views still linger after watching Greg Leigh week in, week out. A proper full back.

Stevens doesn’t look like the answer defensively but I do think he needs a chance at right back without Long behind him struggling to turn out, wasting precious seconds on the ball or going backwards under no pressure. I think (hard to tell) he is a player we need to get the ball to early, in space, and see what he can pick out. Hard to see what his strengths are since Long starves him of time and space. It’s odd that Leigh seems to have the freedom of his wing, where as Stevens doesn’t. But he isn’t as explosive as Leigh or Mills, in fairness. That side has been the area goals have come from in 4 or 5 games in a row now and it’s costing points. Needs a brave change.

A f*****g disgusting performance from the ref, I'm absolutely fuming and laughing at the same time at how bad he was.

  1. Harris was good
  2. Stevens' touch for the goal was gorgeous
  3. Brown and Long are way below standard for a back 3
  4. Brannagan has a huge set on him
  5. Killian Phillips is a rat c**t
Off for a drink and to forget about that B*****s

Having watched the goals back, the Wycombe picks the ball up before the ref blows the whistle.
The 2nd penalty their player hasn’t got control of the ball at all and is on the way down before Beadle touches him. They then have 2 players well inside the box before the kick is taken.
Harris gets a very soft penalty for an identical challenge on him which the ref didn’t give just before that!

Our 1st goal is a very well worked goal.

We might not have been at our best but Wycombe offered nothing going forward (the 3 shots on target stat shows that) and so the ref has cost us 2 points today.

My team for Lincoln would be
Beadle
Stevens Negru Moore brown Leigh
Maguane branagan
Rodriguez
It's actually quite difficult 😄

It is difficult playing with just 9 players 😅

For what it’s worth I’d go:
Beadle
Long, Moore, Negru, Leigh
Brannagan McGuane
Rodriguez
Mills Bodin Tyler

P**s poor ,the team is weak & got no guts & battle in them,
To scared to attack, & go forward & shoot,
Pompey's pulling away, the other teams have caught up ,

Well! I said we’d know whether we have what it takes to mount a serious promotion challenge by this time on Saturday and have to say it’s more likely to be playoff places than Automatic promotion. Get a high quality striker in January and who knows?!

Who said he was a more sensible signing than A, B or C? I remember people (including me) pointing out that we had signed a striker when people were saying that we hadn’t, because apparently Perkins was a winger or something, but I’m not sure that amounts to the same thing.

I do remember various people saying O’Donkor shouldn’t be loaned out because he’s apparently too good to be, though.

I would like to know what is going on with Perkins if he can’t even get on the bench.

Plenty of people were hyping Perkins and suggesting he was the answer to our striker concerns, do you really want the receipts?

Bit of whataboutery with the GO'D comment. I admit he's been very disappointing at times. But his contribution has still been better than Perkins?

Regardless, GO'D's role - rightly or wrongly - is to be the big lad holding it up when ahead in the last ten minites. A squad player.
Perkins role is to be the 2nd choice striker behind Harris. The same Harris who has been out through suspension and then out of form. Perkins hasn't even made the bench in that time.

The venn diagram of people who ridiculed the potential signing of Jack Marriott - and those suggesting sigining Perkins was akin to getting an 18 year old Jermain Defoe - is a perfect circle.
