Just think still got Murphy and Mills to add to the firepower

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Get in there!!!

Shame about Pompey scoring but in all honesty I'm not bothered at all, we're an extra point clear of 3rd tonight. Keep playing like we have and that will only get bigger and bigger, and that's all that matters.

Three goals
Comfortable win
Clean sheet
The scummers lose

Don’t give a f**k who is top in October. We are playing some really smart, decent football right now - and we are only going to get better.

Beer? On a school night? Oh go on then.

This is brilliant.

I want to see that Leigh goal again. Comical from Marosi, but what a finish.

Absolutely flying - Well done LM and the lads. One more game, and then a well earned rest before Blackpool get an education.

Don’t worry about the Portsmouth goal. Keeps us hungry to get top spot. Great win again tonight, very professional. Shrewsbury tried but we were a class above. We really are looking a superb team. Come on you yellows

Its crazy that most of the team have scored zero on motm vote. Bit disrespectful maybe? Perhaps there should be an extra vote

It feels unnatural to be this confident going into a game, but Shrewsbury haven't scored since August.
They have won 3 games, but only against Cheltenham, Fleetwood and Burton, who have only scored 11 goals between them in 29 games.
In fact they haven't scored themselves apart from the games against Cheltenham, Fleetwood and Burton.

Head says 2-0, heart says 5-0.

Not too bothered what Portsmouth do, still early in the season, as long as we win, we're at most 1 point away with a game in hand.
Be good for Bolton and Stevenage to draw though.

Should have taken Leigh off before he scored...

Goal from nothing in the first half made a massive difference there as Shrews generally defended well and would have been hard to break down.

Probably as comfortable as you could have hoped - red and second goal completely killed the game. Onwards to Rovers on Saturday.

We never got out of second gear all game, and won that as comfortably as you like. 702 passes according to the official Match Center. That feels like a lot!

Again, no weak links whatsoever across the whole XI. Rodrigues was excellent again. Stevens was excellent again. The back three mopped everything up with minimal fuss. Greg Leigh is a monster. Harris' runs in behind are absolute quality (even if the finish wasn't there tonight)

Starting to also think that we might be watching England's future goalkeeper in James Beadle. There's still a couple of rough edges to his game, but once those get smoothed over - he's got great size, positioning, decision-making instincts and the quality of his distribution is just insane. There were a couple of low balls through the middle tonight to immediately put us on the attack that Messi would have been proud of.

Pompey result is a minor downer - but there's no prizes for being top in early October. Long way to go.

Got to finish with the obligatory Cheltenham watch. Lost 2-0 at home to Fleetwood to make it 11 games (=16 and a half hours, not including injury time) without a goal to start the season.
