So nice of us to pay Baldock while he does his degree.
He’s got a contract only because of KR’s stupidity in signing him. That’s his good fortune. But surely he was not uninsurable when his career began? He was virtually uninsurable due to his past. Insurance is the club’s concern, not the player’s. He’s got a contract and is getting paid regardless unless he agrees to tear it up.
He's getting paid a player's wage to sit on his a**e for a year. He's had a year already and doesn't need to do a thing besides wait for the call to say we're paying him up. So, who's the real idiot? The he should sue his agent for being negligent. If there’s one thing every professional footballer needs, even more than a wife, is career ending injury cover. What an idiot.

Player insurance is like any other insurance. It's renewable and the price depends on the risks. Lots of injuries or claims and the insurer simply declines to renew. He’s got a contract only because of KR’s stupidity in signing him. That’s his good fortune. We could, except he's probably earning more than our manager knowing KR. So how will that dynamic work? Besides, didn't someone say he wasn't interested in coaching and wanted to get in to recruitment? May have dreamt that but sod it, may as well ask him to do something.Get him coaching the strikers. GO'D could benefit from working with him for movement off the ball and positioning.
I think you are thinking about something different. From what I believe (I'm sure @RyanioBirdio will have a greater insight) there are two types of player insurance. What you are referring to would be taken out by the player himself to cover against a career-ending injury. What the club didn't take out would be insurance which would cover their costs should a player have to stop playing due to injury. The he should sue his agent for being negligent. Absolutely brilliant. Had me in tears.Ah, the old 'football was rubbish in the past' argument, it always reminds me of this gem...
With Baldock, is an option to put him.more on the coaching side and have him registered as a player like Mous was?Yanic is currently being punted around and and every league in Europe in the hope of getting rid of him. Nobody wants Murphy as he’s earning too much.
The board is currently not keen to pay off Baldock and he isn’t insured so can’t be retired on someone else’s dime. He’s got no incentive to walk away for anything less than 100% of his final year as he’s finished, so we either pay the lot or he stays here and limps about while completing his degree.
We’ve knocked back approaches for Stevens and are currently putting him through specialist physio for a shoulder issue.
Manning wants to sign 3/4 wing backs as he wants to switch to a back three if we can get the recruitment right, but we need to get a couple of players out first to free up the budget (Seddon as well as Yanic would help), given we also need a couple of strikers who are going to cost a decent wedge.
Believe or dismiss. Up to you.

That would at least take him.away from.the playing budget (assumes Manning wants him.on the coaching side
Like Mous, he’s got a playing contract whether he’s actually registered or not, so he’s on the budget sheet for playing staff no matter what. With Baldock, is an option to put him.more on the coaching side and have him registered as a player like Mous was?

When I said a top six team, I meant with a team that’s currently in the top six, or what Sky like to say BIG SIX.
Is it possible then to agree that his playing career is over and to move his contract to a coaching one?Like Mous, he’s got a playing contract whether he’s actually registered or not, so he’s on the budget sheet for playing staff no matter what.
His brother (club doctor) wasn’t allowed to be involved in any of the process last summer due to a conflict of interest, but ultimately we are paying the price for Robinson completely losing it and Ferguson looking on adoringly.
He might go, but if he does then we’ve paid him in full. He’s got literally zero incentive to give up a single penny.
Do you think that's what he meant?
With all the will in the world, Us and Oxford City are just not in the top six teams in the country. Not a chance. What, City, Liverpool, United, Arsenal, Chelsea or Newcastle/Tottenham ?
Most of those sides have current regular CBs who came through at football league clubsNot a chance. What, City, Liverpool, United, Arsenal, Chelsea or Newcastle/Tottenham ?
That still makes me laugh! When they hand round the sandwichesAbsolutely brilliant. Had me in tears.
