They would never venture down to "ghastly" Blackbird Leys to watch football with people they probably refer to in their houses, to middle-class giggles, as "the great unwashed"Have been wondering whether the club could invite the members of FOSB to the game on Sunday?
Did I read somewhere that Middleton is to be a moderator at the vote? Is he the one ticking off people addresses? Hmmmm
All of the officials at the poll will be appointed by the Returning Officer for CDC - in all likelihood they will be clerks employed by CDC.Did I read somewhere that Middleton is to be a moderator at the vote? Is he the one ticking off people addresses? Hmmmm
The councillor who complained is I believe far from neutral as they chaired KDW and has actively canvassed to stop the building of the stadium at Stratfield Brake. Ps it’s not Middleton.Given the Green Party's predetermined anti-stadium position it's highly inappropriate anyone from the Green Party/FoSB/KDW should be involved in the administration of the poll. Just as no-one from OxVox/OUFC should be. It should be entirely independent.
The below is an extremely worrying development but we already knew KPC's anti-stadium stance and ties with the opposition groups.
We MUST get out and vote yes on May 10th and we MUST get hold of everyone we know in Kidlington and ask them to vote yes.

Linda Ward, judging from her comments on Nextdoor. They have some bloody nerve, posting character assassinations, smear campaigns, and outright lies for the last 15 months or so, and then complain when fans fight back. The councillor who complained is I believe far from neutral as they chaired KDW and has actively canvassed to stop the building of the stadium at Stratfield Brake. Have any of the names of those who called for the poll been made known? I know it was asked by someone at the meeting about the names but it would be interesting to know if any of the names were from north Oxford. The following has been posted on Facebook and makes interesting reading.
It seems that the Vote Yes leaflet has ruffled some feathers. We have received correspondence this morning from a member of the parish council stating:
“It is grossly misleading on several counts. I think that you need to stop delivery immediately and issue a public apology.”
Needless to say, we will neither be apologising (publicly or otherwise) nor will we stop delivering the leaflet to our community. We stand United with OXVOX and back every single word printed on the leaflet.
Their claim centres around what they see as an inference that the Parish Council support a Yes vote. We see nothing of the sort and have certainly not inferred anything to that end. The very wording of the vote says “should Kidlington Parish Council support the building of a stadium for Oxford United FC in Kidlington?”. Therefore by voting yes, you are indeed being asked to back KPC and OUFC to benefit the community of Kidlington as stated on the leaflet. We have not inferred that the council would like a Yes vote and in fact, we feel that the opposite is true
They have also taken offence to the suggestion that the poll was called on behalf of a small group from North Oxford. It is a matter of public record that the Kidlington resident who called the vote, Mr Trevor Campbell, did so whilst reading a statement on behalf of Friends of Stratfield Brake, the leader of which is from North Oxford. We also have documentary evidence that the application from FoSB to the parish council for grant funding was done so solely by Suzanne McIvor who their chairperson and is a resident of North Oxford and not Kidlington.
We feel that this is an attempt by certain elements within the council who are opposed to the stadium to silence us and suppress our positive message. We have had several people approach us to say that certain councillors have been out canvassing their homes and have been actively telling them to Vote No! We would be more than happy to speak to the chair of the council about this type conduct but he has yet to engage with either ourselves or OXVOX despite numerous invitations to do so.
We will continue to work tirelessly on behalf of our community to ensure that we benefit from the stadium and tell other how we feel that it will be positively transformative for our village.
This is why it is so important to make sure that you VOTE YES on May 10th

We need an independent adjudicator to be present to report on any wrong doing if any at all.All of the officials at the poll will be appointed by the Returning Officer for CDC - in all likelihood they will be clerks employed by CDC.
Despite being meaningless, the poll is covered by the full weight of electoral law. No campaign material is allowed at the polling station and it's immediate surroundings and any interference with the process of an election could be deemed electoral fraud and a criminal investigation would take place if reported.
Trevor Campbell was the proposer. Guess who his wife is??? Victoria.Have any of the names of those who called for the poll been made known? I know it was asked by someone at the meeting about the names but it would be interesting to know if any of the names were from north Oxford.
They didThought they had to be residents in the Kidlington Parish Council area.
Yes I know but it was asked and the chair just said yes although two people withdrew their support because they felt they had been strong armed. I was just wondering whether any North Oxford residents had got their name n the poll?Thought they had to be residents in the Kidlington Parish Council area.
