But would he switch to wing backs? He hasn’t so far. If he does he’d need four wing backs, otherwise one injury and your main wide attacker is Long or Brown.Personally I'd take up the option (I think we have one?) on Anderson. I think he's been decent, and if Manning switches to using wing backs, he'd be ideal.

Matty Taylor & John Mousinho were both together at the Cheltenham game on Tuesday I wouldn’t be surprised to see Taylor at Portsmouth next seasonI would offer Taylor a new deal on reduced terms, providing we also sign two new strikers. I think his experience and character will be valuable, and I still think he'd score 10+ goals in a side that creates chances.
Well yes in practical terms that’s what would happen. But then you’re going down the route of a winger ‘doing a job’ there.I think 4 wing backs is a bit excessive, particularly if you want to have quality in depth. It's going to be a tough sell to get someone in and keep them happy if they're sat waiting for an injury to get a run out. If we go down the wing back route I'd rather have the best that we can get for the starting position and then someone like Ryan Williams who can slot in for half a dozen games if needed.
These are who are registered and when their contracts expire. Hope this helps.

I see an argument that we are now happy to have him if he’s here next year, but that’s based on less than 180 minutes of football.Murphy may have only started to play in the last few games, but has looked an excellent player when he has. If Manning has got him playing like thar after a few weeks then hopefully a full preseason will get him ready to play a full role next season.
Looking to get rid of him is bizarre!!
Who is signing Henry, Wildschut and Baldock?I would like us to :
Try and sign Bate and Joseph out of the loan players returning
Send back: Konate, Fleming and Smith all not good enough
Release: Ben Davis, Gorrin
Sell or Loan out : Stevens, McGinty, Mfuni, Seddon, Henry, Wildschut, Baldock
: Offer Matty Taylor a 1 year contract on less terms
: Take up the 1 year options on Anderson and Jones
: Try and tie Mcguane, O'Donkor, Goodrham, Ciaron Brown to longer contracts.

Why would Baldock cancel a contract here when he is injured? I didn’t see Gorrin cancel his contract this season.Baldock we will likely agree to cancel his contract, he's knackered and needs to retire.
Henry will walk in to most league 2 teams and i'm sure we can mutually agree to terminate his contract so he move along.
Wildschut may be a bit harder to shift but we could always loan him out to a League 2/ national League team
Don’t think we have much choice!I'm not sure that Wildschut has ever been fully fit, and was exceptionally unlucky with the severity of the injury he picked up. I would think that we'd look to keep all options open and reevaluate where he is in late July/August.
Who the hell is saying we should keep Seddon... or Gorrin?I see an argument that we are now happy to have him if he’s here next year, but that’s based on less than 180 minutes of football.
But he is also one of our top earners, signed for an old manager, and his overall contribution this season was far below what he or the club would have wanted.
Having him at the club, taking a big wage, based on what he ‘might’ be is a gamble, and we just had a terrible season because we took too many gambles. “Bizarre” is far too strong.
Separate note, but I love that I got slated here for saying this squad wasn’t that bad, yet now I am reading how we should keep Anderson, Seddon, Gorrin, Taylor and Joseph i.e. pretty much every player we might be able to move on. We are going to need to be a lot more brutal.
Why would Baldock cancel a contract here when he is injured? I didn’t see Gorrin cancel his contract this season.
Why would Henry cancel a contract where he is one of the highest paid players at a L1 club to drop down to L2?

If he isn’t going to play professionally, how is the season going to be bad for his health?I can't see Baldock ever playing professionally again, he has had a good career, earned a good wage, think he needs to start thinking about his long term health.
Henry, we will have to offer to pay up some or most of his contract to release.
That was my thinking him as 3rd donks as 4th and two goal scorers what a difference that would be to this season
