General New Head of Recruitment: Ed Waldron

Tbh the teams below us have generally been even worse than us (possibly apart from when we've played them)
Accrington have been on a terrible run lately and their remaining games are very tough
That's probably what will keep us in L1 although I sincerely hope that LM can get some decent results from our games to make what the bottom four do academic
Maybe. Hopefully. But there’s no certainty and even if it does go our way we might not know mathematically until May. That won’t help.

Four of the bottom six will go down. I think Burton have a three point advantage on MK with a couple of games in hand.

Our record against the others so far this season is:

FGR 1 point out of three - one draw
Cambridge 3 points out of 6 - one win, one loss
Morecambe 2 points out of 6 - two draws
Accrington - 1 point out of 3 - one draw
MK - 1 point out of six - one draw, one loss

In other words, against our fellow relegation strugglers in 8 matches, we have managed just one win and (not coincidentally) one clean sheet.

So I am not sure that they have been terrible except when we have played them - I just think we are equally terrible.

We are down. A huge part of me says we should accept it and get the planning going for being as good as we can be next season.

It hurts me to say it, but the fixture list and our shitness says it's the right thing to do.

It's not over until it's mathematically certain I know it's a long shot but try and be positive we all know we've been s**t this season we all probably know there is more chance of us going down than staying up but let's not be defeatist we've still got it in our own hands

Part of me is saying, CEO appears to be a decent chap, albeit still relatively new to the Job and slowly getting to grips with it, good young progressive manager, HoR came across ok in the FMFF, had a good tutor in Mark Thomas and it‘s good to see the club promoting from within. This is a rebuild, it can all come together but it’s going to take time.

The other part is saying we’ve got a dithering CEO whose mantra appears to be that the easiest thing to do is nothing, or to take the easier option when pushed comes to shove.

I feel we have some decent people at the club, I genuinely want them all to be successful, however are they dynamic and competent enough to sort out Robinson’s mess, secure our League 1 status and push us on both on and off the field? For me the nagging doubts persist and they won’t go away!

We are definitely not down.
We probably need 7 points to stay up.
I reckon FGR, Cambridge and Morecambe are in deep trouble.
It's between Accrington, us and MK. I would say Accrington are favourites to go down.
The fixture list remaining is pretty difficult for all of the bottom. 5

We are dreadfully poor but let's not forget Accy ,Morecombe , Cambridge are hardly going to be full of confidence as well as being absolutely awful as well.
We can muster together enough points then look to the bright dawn of next season refreshed and with an completely different outlook from the Management team .
Just stay up ...COYY

MK Dons aren't going down.

The only thing with that sentence that gets me is that Mark Thomas was here for the last 3 transfer windows and look how they panned out..

You must be thinking you’ll never have to work a day again in your life - 7/1 about a done deal and all the time in the world to get as much on as you want?

All of the recruitment team were ignored for the past three windows. That’s why he left having turned down the Portsmouth DoF job last year.
And there was I thinking when GF/TW came in last October they were here to improve yet allowed another P**s poor transfer widow.
You would think they would have looked at our transfer business and try to put things in motion to improve.

We had posts like this a couple of months ago quoting odds of 50/1 and telling people to lump on if they thought we would go down...

At least you’re consistent with being a miserable fucker.
You are usually completely wrong on your predictions which gives me hope so thank you for that 😊

Let’s hope the players don’t have the same defeatist attitude as you always seem to have.
