It’s not what happens to these people, it’s where it happens and that isn’t allowed to be anywhere near them, we could boil babies alive in great numbers 20 miles away and they wouldn’t give a s**t, but if me and you fancied a game of beach volleyball at Cutteslowe Park this afternoon then it’s then end of the world and needs to be stopped whatever the cost.

They are without reason, subjectivity or even morals in their attempts to live in some sort of bubble completely unaffected by others.
"I have nothing against boiling babies alive, I just don't think this is the place for it"

OM letters page goes 2-0 ahead for the week in favour of the stadium at the Triangle today .....repro to follow soon(ish)
Is that Bazzer’s letter?

Just a thought apart from a few of us talking about the Triangle/letters, other members on the forum have gone quiet.

I think it’s because on the pitch we are so poor everybody’s angst is aimed at KR/Tim Williams and we have taken our eye off what is a far more important issue, having said that what the Board will think if we get relegated is worrying

it is indeed bazzers letter - will post up a repro in the next half hour

Agree on pitch failings are distracting, so to speak, attention - understandably, from the long term aim of relocating and the stadium project currently

Opponents to the stadium project have also been quiet for a few days

There will be a period of "nothing happening" in Council world thanks to the locals on the horizon.

Normal service then. :)

On the KR out thread, there are some pretty incredible assumptions being made.
So, the owners want us relegated, have list interest, are trying to cut costs, will pull out.

Does anybody ITK, know when further announcements on the ground are likely?
I feel that good, regular communications would be beneficial especially with it going so pear shaped on the pitch

I don’t believe that we have taken our eyes off the stadium issues, it’s more to do with there is no news on where the process stands at the moment. One concern for me is the current on field issues may have a negative effect on the future of the ground. By this I mean handing ammunition to those who are against the move. Again poor communication leads to empty voids being filled by rumour and uncertainty.

No one has suggested the owners want us relegated, I said they aren't alarmed at the prospect which to be honest is hard to argue against currently.

The on the field issues are just as important as the stadium, the owners/board need to be more transparent on both cases.

that'll teach me ! - the 'cautiously neutral' / or Ken Roper proclaimed, overt opponent to the stadium project at the triangle, cllr Middleton has this to say ......

The majority view of residents affected by any development anywhere will be against. Everybody that has had any dealings with planning applications from the homeowner that wants to build an extension to the multi nationals that want to build housing and industrial units will know that there will be objections. Some of those objections will raise valid points but there will be an overwhelming number of people that will object "just because". The planning process has a presumption of approval and even valid points are set aside if the development is deemed for the greater good.

I wouldn't worry too much about Cllr Middleton - he's just politicking and looking to curry favour with both pro ("I haven't decided") and anti ("I'm trying to represent you but I'm being ignored") factions. Once things have progressed as he knows they will, he can go back to his electorate and say "well I was on your side, big business just rode roughshod over our views" ("vote for me again, you can see I'm the good guy") and "we now look forward to the benefits that this can bring to the area ("don't forget to invite me to any jollys")

So our beloved fat-fingered @bazzer9461 's surname is Gibb(s). This opens up a whole new avenue for tedious puns.

Great letter, Baz. You Win Again.
Oh ffs here we go again it started around 1968 when a teacher in my new year at school asked if I was related with a grin on her face and I thought what the is she on about but I’ll have some of what she is smoking 😉😊
