Home Match Day Thread +++ 06/01/2018 OUFC v Blackpool match day thread +++

But has the moaner sat behind you had anything to not moan about?
Sitting near to someone who spends the entire match moaning has to be one of the most dispiriting ways to spend a Saturday afternoon. I try and move if possible as the earliest opportunity.

It should be socially unacceptable to moan constantly. We should have "No Moaning" signs around the stadium.

But to be fair the way were playing at the moment and have been for most of the season people do have a right to moan but if were playing well and regularly [people will be positive and cheer I certainly would, but apart from the Beaks goal there wasn't much to cheer about. If per chance the moaner sitting behind is me then I will keep moaning when we could and should do better then I will moan but as I said if our performances improve and we win or even if we lose but our playing has improved big time then I will cheer.

Fair enough.. didn’t realise stewards were making life difficult since Wigan.

I’ve never questioned their efforts but they do seem to have thrown the toys out of the pram since that game.

My maths ain’t great but 10 + 2 = 12, so plenty of time for a beer too.
The result on the pitch disguised the stewards turfing people out through hard ticket checks for the 3rd/4th game in a row. Was watching it from my seat and it was appalling. Far too many bright yellow jackets moving people about. "Toys out the pram" and "sulking" are just comments that will make them wonder why they even bothered in the first place I imagine. Think more questions should be aimed at the Wycombe fan who's now security officer.

Jan 10th (this Wed') Oxvox have a members meeting at the Masons arms .... with OUFC chairman and MD both attending it would be an opportunity to ask the person(s) who pays (for) the stewards why Mr Mixter is instructing his stewards to act in such a way?

Fans getting onto Tiendalli’s back before a ball is kicked isn’t helpful

It’s not what people want to believe but I thought he was defensively excellent today and his distribution was vastly improved

On the other flank Canice’ distribution was awful but he will improve game by game

Gritty wins are signs of good teams, grinding out 3 points when we've played badly is something we probably wouldn't have seen a month or two ago. Clean sheet is nice as well, especially considering we lost our captain CB (again). Give the armband to Lego until he signs a new contract

I was worried that people were purchasing concession tickets
when they should be buying adult tickets - defrauding the club in other words.

With the best will in the world, that game was not the sign of a good team. It was a poor team with a good goalie! A top half side would have beaten us comfortably. No pattern to the play, concede chances too easily, and sloppy in possession. A win is a win, though, and progress towards 55 points..... this time last year, we beat Newcastle stylishly with a progressive young side. This current team should see out the rest of the season, but we should just be glad we aren't heading off to play a top flight side in the 4th round. We would be annihilated!

You and GreatUncleKip should have a candlelight supper together sometime. So much to talk about.
Don't be childish. Great we won, but sorry didn't have my rose tinted specs on today, too cold. If you were there then you would have seen a game where our passing was woeful and players were too long out of position. If it wasn't for Eastwood, then Blackpool could have had 3 or 4. This was the view of the majority of texts/tweets to Jerome after the game as well.

At a guess I would say that perhaps the club has made it difficult since the wigan game because they didnt like them being taken down what with DE s " If you cant support us when we lose dont suppot us when we win" comments an all. I hope there arent any more malarkys between them and the club
