Watching via a stream.
Decent result against a side on a great winning run
Take outs
Bate, really starting to look a player
McGinity, a great save though KR down played it. Again starting to look a player.
Can someone tell Taylor the offside rules.
Henry while looking fitter still well off the pace.
Browne ditto to Henry.

The squad selected is our best unless the 3 top signings suddenly hand their sick notes in. Not sure it's a top six unless they appear.
Hard to accept any negativity about Bate last night, that was the first time I’ve been close enough to appreciate his movement, vision and overall game management. A quality player who held his own on a sticky pitch against robust oppposition.

Thought Bate was very poor last night.

I might be in a very small minority of people who stood on that open terrace but I actually really enjoyed the game (probably helped by the fact that it’s only 12 minutes on the train for me), a real old fashioned cup tie on a bog of a pitch, some good football from both teams mixed in with some comical moments where the ball got stuck in the ground. Glad I took an umbrella though and was happy it stopped raining in the second half.

Considering the conditions it ended up being played in though it does make a mockery of calling of the original date though.

Can't judge anyone on that performance...awful conditions that made it a lottery. I'm glad to see McGinty and Goodrham do well though as our two standouts.

Beat Exeter and things will be looking up for the first time in a long time.

Given the conditions, and just how well Woking played too, I think we actually played pretty decent and it's a very good result. You could see the ball wasn't moving properly on the ground from the first minute which meant we couldn't get any kind of passing game going, and it only got worse as the game went on. I suspect if it hadn't already been moved once due to the weather we might not have seen the full 90.

Thought Tyler had a very good game and took his goal well. Gatlin when he came on was a real nuisance too once again. We've got two really excellent young players coming through and they really are the bright sparks of this otherwise very meh season.

Don't often comment on matches, but a couple of things on last night that I feel need mentioning. I was sat right on the halfway line, in the little main stand, so had a good view of the game.

Firstly, I can't believe anyone is criticising Lewis Bate's performance last night! He was excellent throughout. Neat, tidy, always available, brave in possession, and kept the ball moving well.

Secondly, Djavan Anderson. I like him more each time I see him. Ladies and Gentlemen, I think we've found our new right back!

fort hose that were there, whose fans were booing Seddon virtual everytime he got the ball 2nd half and what was it all about?

Calling them 'fans' is rather generous!
which is why i wondered if it was their fans...hoping it wasn't ours to be honest.

Always remember a spell when Matt Murphy had similar, who for some reason was never really appreciated

Job done in difficult conditions against a decent team.

I watched via a stream and thought he did well (poor finish bearcthe end though).

Good to see Goodrham get on the scoresheet with a very accomplished finish, bags of potential there.

He's not a right back(!)

a win is a win .... into the 2nd round then

well done young Tyler with the winner

A fine result, onward and upward!

Was that pitch any worse then when it was called off? Nope.

From what I've read on the original tie, the surrounds around the ground were flooded as well including part of the dressing rooms which made it a H&S issue. It wasn't just the pitch apparently.

As an aside, the main thing from last night being we got through to the next round and we had no injury injuries so a good night.

My away trips usually coincide with foul weather and closed roads. Yesterday was no exception!

I don’t think people can criticise playing styles on nights like that. It comes down to wanting it more than the opposition and giving it 100%. We did that and got our rewards. Tyler was my MOTM with good performances from Anderson and McGinty but I wouldn’t criticise any of them. Fair play to the referee for allowing the game to finish.
