Manager/Coach KREXIT: The 'Robbo Out' thread.

Anyways, back on track and a discussion point that I’ve been pondering …

KR isn’t an idiot - despite what some on here may think. He’ll know that he hasn’t got what he wanted in the transfer window and has his weakest side in a good few seasons. Rather than blot his copybook with a sacking and/or another season without a promotion, could he be peddling his CV around to other clubs to get a move? His move from Charlton to us was kind of under similar circumstances.

Just wondered …
That's what I’ve been thinking. Managers don’t like being associated with failure and he’s still marketable under the ‘top scorers in the league!’ strapline. There’s a danger he’ll soon be ‘even lost to Bristol Rovers!’ so this could be the time to move.

If he wants to stay near home what clubs are available? Can’t see him gets championship job with his CV so it’s our level or below, Wycombe or MK Dons at this level I can’t see happening, with no where else particularly near. Would he drop a level?

If he is now willing to move further afield that obviously opens up a lot more options.

I reckon he will plough on here, it either gets better (pretty unlikely with this squad before some serious January acquisitions) or he gets the sack and a pay off and can have a bit of a break before getting back on the managerial merry go round.

Burton Albion and takes Mous as his no2 ?

The fact posts are having to be removed because they're referencing KR's personal life is clearly indicative of people vastly overstepping the line of criticism of a football manager. How is any reference to his personal life not 'going after' him?
The mere mention of anything other than football is why they got removed. I absolutely agree with the point you’re trying to make but this was not an instance of it. Of the 10-12 posts that followed there was only one from memory which was unnecessary in its content. The rest was fine but it was just a subject matter that got aired in the wrong setting and was rightly removed from the discussion.

Like I said, you didn’t see it. Somebody posted something that they had no right to post regarding non-football matters and a few people responded to it, almost unanimously positively I might add. All posts were removed sensitively. There was no war of words between anyone.

It was all removed for a reason, so that’s as much as I can say, but you’re wrong in your assumptions and I only point that out because not clearing that up could sour the mood moving forward.

Fair enough lads. Apologies if I got the wrong end of the stick. I think the point stands, and there has definitely been some criticism that has gone beyond the pale. But appreciate if that's not the case here - as you say, will delete so as not to continue souring the mood.

I was one who posted and more or less said what you said but not in those terms. As Ryanbirdio says all posts had a sympathetic nature to them.
I do think that in general when we praise or rubbish a player/manager/director we should put our opinions forward in a decent way.
Take Eastwood and Seddon, people are right to give their opinion on how they played but a lot of the stuff being said goes much further than that and quite frankly isn’t needed

Yes watching the game today.I know it's early on in the season but we are so far away from these teams. It just makes you feel so depressed we aren't going to be at this end of the table.

Watching this Plymouth vs Ipswich game and shows how far away from the pack we are. Both looking quality.
Both clubs have young ambitious managers who have assembled full squads in all areas of the park rather than simply plucking any injury prone winger who would be in a higher league but for their regular injuries and hoping

Ipswich just that bit stronger (and dirtier) than Plymouth though

I would also add that there are still some who seem to think that footballers/managers are somehow immune to external factors. The kind of comments like "how can you be depressed on 50k a week" etc. Thankfully there is far greater acknowledgement of the damage that mental health issues can have on everyone, and anyone who has experienced depression will tell you that it sometimes occurs even when you have what others perceive as the perfect life.

I'm not saying that we can't criticise Karl or the players, but that criticism doesn't need to get as personal as it sometimes gets on here (although the vast majority are reasonable and respectful in their views even if others have different views).

Hopefully we'll get back to football in the coming days, and (even more hopefully) winning ways and some of the other nonsense will be kept off these pages.

Totally agree, we are all on here because we love Oufc not because we hate Karl Robinson.

its so sad to watch two teams playing how we should be - we are a mere shadow of this
If we were more of a pull as a club some of those players or similar could be here, but while the manager can’t stabilise the team with decent players it won’t happen.

Have you ever thought that maybe K.R isn't popular with some players that were in line for a loan or if things dont get better after permanent deals ! Maybe his credibility is wearing off or maybe the bubble has burst , either way if and when a fully fit squad can be a selection boost ,then we will know the situation in full re the summer transfers !
