Summer 2018 Official Transfer Thread ****

I think anyone can see that our initial plan to strike early on our targets has not quite come to fruition. For whatever reason.

In the transfer market were not quite the draw we were as a relegation struggler last year, hence the likes of Lyle Taylor not returning our calls.

I trust in Robinson, but i suspect weve been blown out several times and are re-adjusting our sights.

I know Godden was a target who we couldnt get close to.

Unable to compete wages wise, for a few targets possibly?

So Tony Husband ( BBC sports reporter ) announces Pompey have made their 5 the signing and Kenny Kacket is building a team for a promotion campaign. What are we building for?

I see Plymouth have signed two young players from Everton. I wonder if we were also interested..?

They're getting their pants pulled down more like (along with the Posh) - dread to think how much they're overpaying for their incoming players. Mugs. OUFC appear to be playing a canny long-game. In no way does this mean that we've back-tracked on KR's original words due to belt tightening. Absolutely not!

Could be a nice little sum coming our way. As well as what ever instalments still to be paid. Suddenly we might just have cleared that debt to Darryl before the season even starts.

Bloody hell Reading have THAT type of money???? God thats tough to take. I remember watching us play them @ Elm Park in the League Cup 1990, with us winning 1-0 in front of 5k. Goes to show what a singe multi-millionaire owner who is in love with his "home" town can do...b****r...and a**e!

These signings will be like my girlfriends. I wait for ages and then three...
Lucky you mate! My current form with the ladies, mirror's Wes Thomas H2 last season...barn and back door :) but like the Murphys I am not bitter !

I agree Sir. Look @ Bury 2017/18 and how that ended! Team spirit is huge @ L1 level...

Or it met his personal circumstances and gave HIM and his family a bit of security.
Also I think Eastwood knows what its like for a career to struggle to "lift off" and the green hills, far away (Barnsley) are not always greener....2nd child on the way/due soon...wife appears happy, well, she attends every home game...so I assume a happy family...plus he is a seriously good bloke, down to earth, like most of the squad 17/18...Ricci was a legend...

Would be great if that relationship still existed by I feel that made have died when Mapp left. I could be talking total B*****s.

I assume these contacts are usually more person to person, than club to club. Hopefully with KR, we at least have a route into the red half of the same city...

Love the spin. I'm sure we'll sign someone to add to the lad from way down the non league ladder.
