He'd be out on his ear at the first sign of any bad behaviour. I know you can't keep tabs on him 24/7, but with the likes of Robinson, Derry, Mousinho, Holmes, Nelson, and Henry in the dressing room, that's plenty of no-nonsense elders to keep the young guys in check.

Only one person can change his behaviour and that’s him, it’s a judgement call as to whether he has grown up enough to be useful rather than a hindrance.

Some interesting choices coming up to January:

LB

Harry Pickering - Crewe
19 - has played over 1000 minutes this season. Has xA of 2.96, the highest of all players in league 2 that are under 21 and played over 1000 minutes...this is at left back! Combine this with 13th in the league for crosses and 11th for dribbles (compared to other LB and RB) and he looks to be a decent prospect.

Niall Mason - Doncaster
21 - has played 1700 minutes this season. Plays nearly 11 passes a match into the final third...the most of any right back in the league. One of the most creative RB's in the league. Out of contract in the summer.


Matt Clarke - Portsmouth (young CB option)
22 - play left CB. Wins 72% of his aerial duels. Decent on the ball however tends to play long...but with 61% pass accuracy. Out of contract in the summer.

Curtis Tilt - Blackpool
27 - in his peak, plays LCB. Looks a decent replacement for Nelson (if he goes). Good on the floor and in the air along with being an attacking threat...13 shots this season, scoring 3 with an xG of 2.16. Apparently out of contract this summer.

Looked into this further, Matt Clarke looks to be off to the championship with Premiership teams looking also.

However, Clarke's CB partner Jack Whatmough is out of contract in the summer. 22, solid in the air but not as comfortable on the ball.

Jack Stacey would be fantastic signing at RB but will move higher, another LB alternative along with Pickering is Marc Bola. Again out of contract in the summer, 20yo, plays LB/LWB the most productive LB in the league in terms of assists. Would be a very good acquisition.
