You are right about Winnall. This all started a few games back and nothing has been done to correct it. Just not good enough generally.
The problem is, you can't keep playing absolutely shite, and expect to keep obtaining pointsDo you get promoted due to the amount of points you obtain, or if you play total football?
No way are we getting in the playoffs. Outplayed and outfought by an average portsmouth side. We still cant beat any of the 'better' sides
Winnall needs the ball into him, he was chasing itWe need more in midfield. No options, no forward passing, no bravery. I’d like to see Elliott Lee in there with Brannigan.
Barker needs to start. We looked more dangerous with him and Shodipo on the wings.
Finally, Sam Winnall should get a long, long spell out of the side. If you think Dan Agyei would play as badly as that then you need to give your head a wobble (Karl).
Not being funny but I’d rather have Julian Alsop’s Nan up front over what I saw from Sam Winfuckall tonight.Sadly we have two strikers who couldn't score in a brothel at present - difficult choice as to which one starts Saturday as neither look good enough
It was only because Pompey started to play deeper (nerves?) and gave us a bit of space to play in. Our players struggled to create the space before that.Deserved nothing from that game, we were woeful. I don’t get why that urgency we showed in the last five minutes wasn’t there from the off. It’s so infuriating to see us play with some urgency, tempo and passion only in injury time. Tonight showed we just aren’t good enough.
Yep against teams above us.Its a marathon not a sprint...... plenty more points to play for!
Mid table.Average or winning when not at their best? Kind of like how we’ve done recently against Wigan and Bristol Rovers.
They did a job on us that I thought we’d do to them. Get in front and hold the opposition at bay. Good sides can do that to you.
If they’re average and they’re definitely better than us, what does that make us?!
The quality is there; the style of play is wrong resulting in no service for the striker(s). As soon as Pompey had the ball it was quick decisive thru ball for runs by several of their players making runs. When we get the ball it's pass it across the back of our own half for 5 minutes allowing the opposition plenty of time to re-organise and we then attempt to get the ball to a lone striker - predictable and ineffective. KR is going to have to twist and change tactics and pretty soon if he wants to get in the play offs.Agreed.
Clear and obvious lack of quality tonight.
