So Osei-Yaw is not likely to be part of the squad because of the stupid salary cap rules where if taken out of the squad list and then put back in then you have to include the salary for the whole season rather than just the period on the list. This helps developing players who are over the age limit how?

Unsurprisingly, rushed laws have many blatant flaws, who'd have guessed?!

I haven't heard any of this discussion, but then surely, you take out the whole salary of any players that drop off the squad list?

Also Osei, he hasn't been put back in as he was never in the list in the first place, was he?

Think it’s clear to see today that we need a top draw right winger to rival James Henry who looks a yard slower this season. Gutting to middle out on Gavin Whyte tbh.

A centre back for back up to moore/Atkinson and give them competition is a must to.

7 days for 2 players minimum. A 3rd player to take us to 23 would be An added bonus with Sykes & Hanson not in today’s squad.

If Osei returns to the squad whatever wages he would have earned if he had been in the playing squad from the off have to also be added to the wage bill

Does that also apply to the wage of any other player we bring into the squad.

As said in previous post, he is not returning to the squad as he was never in it.

If he was added to the squad now whatever he would have earned if he had been in the squad at the start of the season that wage has to be added to the wage cap

Indeed, as he was part of the squad previously. New players that wouldn't be the case is my understanding from KR's comments. The rules are a typical FL fuckup.

Multiple people have said we don’t need any new players over the last week or two. The idea of a right back potentially turning up to compete with Long practically reduced a few people to tears.

Let’s go and get even one player who can add to the squad. Yes, even a winger.

I haven’t seen much of that - just people pointing out that the level of hysteria on here would suggest we are desperate for additions, when in fact the evidence on the pitch says we’d probably be just fine. Hope we bring in a couple, but only if they are to the standard needed.

Josh Griffiths looks a good young keeper. He’s on loan at Cheltenham from WBA...playing well tonight.
That would be a nice signing for us as an understudy to Jack Stevens. Maybe loaned out Simon Eastwood as I think he might well struggle to get back in as number one

Fine if no one gets injured

Not sure Cheltenham or WBA would agree. WBA want him to play and we need a backup in the Eastwood leaving senario.
