Transfer News Transfer window 2020/21

It is interesting that KR has gone quiet on transfer activity. Do you think he has taken advice from this forum and decided to keep stum until he signs someone rather than keep us excited about his plans. He is enthusiastic and normally comes over as a person who likes to tickle you imagination with his ideas. Give him a break and the end of the window will leave us all looking upwards to the play offs and championship football next season
I hope he never does that!

We’ve won 6 games in a row, unbeaten in 10, left 2 first teams players out of the squad today, but there will still be some here losing their minds in the next couple of days that we haven’t signed a back-up centre back.

Cheer up - we’re in good shape.

So Osei-Yaw is not likely to be part of the squad because of the stupid salary cap rules where if taken out of the squad list and then put back in then you have to include the salary for the whole season rather than just the period on the list. This helps developing players who are over the age limit how?

Unsurprisingly, rushed laws have many blatant flaws, who'd have guessed?!

You put your foot down when you’re in the lead - Robinson just said the same. “Let’s be aggressive in the players we bring in.”

Couldn’t agree more. It’s the equivalent of killing off a game. Unsure why so many seem to think that adding a player or two would somehow be a bad thing.

With how Moore and Atkinson are playing it might be cover but a replacement for next season we are looking at, they both look better than league one now.

Who is saying that?

Multiple people have said we don’t need any new players over the last week or two. The idea of a right back potentially turning up to compete with Long practically reduced a few people to tears.

Let’s go and get even one player who can add to the squad. Yes, even a winger.

We are ticking off the Robbo transfer checklist very nicely now mind, isnt that number 7 or 8 on there- lay down the gauntlet to Tiger. Scary how accurate its proved.

And absolutely strenghthen when on the front foot. It shows how bad our start was due to injury and questionable recruitment that we can win 6 on the spin and still only be 11th.

I like the look of Cheltenham’s Alfie May, think he would be better than Winnall, sorry but I think he’s had his day

Alfie May was a bit duff in L1 for Donny and is hardly setting L2 alight:

Winnall is a far better player.

Winnall has a decent pedigree so what does he need? A run of games as the lone frontman to get him on the scoresheet and build confidence? But how many games would KR give him and what effect would it have on our promotion push before he’s dropped?
It may click for him, it may not, but it needs to start soon if he’s going to benefit this squad.

But May is doing the buisness looks fast. Where as I’m afraid Winnall playing days are numbered. He didn’t do anything today.

This is 1 game look at his record, including this season.

As for Winnall:

He needs games as he's had played only about 2 hours in total since coming back from injury. With little game time before that he hasn't had the chance to build partnerships and understand his teammates passes or them understand his runs. A classic example of this was Kelly passing to Cam Bran (it may have been somebody else) instead of putting the ball straight through after he made a run which would have put him clean through. Cam Bran couldn't pass it through as he was then offside.

But how do you trick him into thinking hes playing against Manc every week. As others have said he didnt do it for Donny. Never buy on one game

Let's hope it's a vocal few rather than 'so many' because it would be absolute insanity not to bring it at least as many as we can.
