What will you do with them? It’s a shame to sacrifice prosperity for some childish symbolismGood stuff do we get our waters back now? Looking forward to Jan
Sovereignty of Parliament, saving the membership fee, control of borders and movement of people, regaining fishing waters, distancing from ever closer union, no more bailouts, relaxation of red tape. Can you elaborate on anything in particular you are looking forward to?
I'll vote for a party which will protect them and (hopefully) promote sustainable fishing practices. I'll celebrate if we can reignite some jobs and economic prosperity for our old fishing towns. What will you do with them? It’s a shame to sacrifice prosperity for some childish symbolism
Why? ?I so hope this happens. No doubt I’ll be asked by
Remainers why...

Blue passport will be fun too.
This isn't going to age well.Apart from that?
Freedom to provide state aid to industry?
Freedom to market British products at a premium?
Global trade deals for said British products?
Oh and if it ends at "No-Deal" we don`t pay all of the £35-£39 billion so called "Divorce Bill".......... because paying it was part of the "Oven Ready Deal" IIRC.....
Sentimental nonsense.Potty. These are our closest trading partners and in or out of the EU we need to get along and have a trading deal. This Tory government are supported by a whole load of interests who would make money should we have to cut deals with the Americans and no deal with our European friends is what they've been aiming for from day one.
I know there are some xenophobic idiots who think that everybody is somehow inferior to them as soon as they look overseas or (heaven forbid) actually cross the channel into Europe - but having a different colour passport cover is a reason for celebration? As I said - potty.
Said the chap who seems to be pining for the days of empire!Sentimental nonsense.
This isn't going to age well.
We'll come back to it later.
When you characterise your political opponents as somehow stupid, ignorant or bigoted, it makes it easier for you to ignore the points they are actually making.Said the chap who seems to be pining for the days of empire!
People who think 56 migrants arriving by boat is an outrage, think 87 people dying of covid on the same day is insignificantFeel free........... life happens,
We voted, we are leaving.
As Noel used to say "Deal or No Deal?" .......there will of course be a fudge so everyone saves face.
Options are available for those wishing to remain.... plenty of dinghies on the South Coast.. ?
Oh yes, me too , but it’s a small part of the overall picture, and we’re likely to have lower standards outside the EUI'll vote for a party which will protect them and (hopefully) promote sustainable fishing practices. That’s not a bad point tbhWhen you characterise your political opponents as somehow stupid, ignorant or bigoted, it makes it easier for you to ignore the points they are actually making.
That tactic has a name but I can't remember what it is right now.
That's fair enough - I can see where you're coming from and of course the US meat issue is a concern. I wouldn't like our food standards or animal welfare standards to be lowered in any way and I understand that that's a big gamble. Hopefully it pays off.Oh yes, me too , but it’s a small part of the overall picture, and we’re likely to have lower standards outside the EU
Just to explain what an Australia style deal is ... we don’t actually have free trade with Australia. We do have a trade deal on wine, which could explain why wine is just about the only Australian product you see in the shops.
What is an 'Australian-style' deal? - UK in a changing Europe
What is the EU’s trading arrangement with Australia? If there is no deal, would the UK trade on similar terms in an 'Australian-style' deal?ukandeu.ac.uk
