Transfer News Transfer window 2020/21

Almost certain this is going to be Will Grigg, apparently been scoring well in pre-season and I think Robbo would get the best out of him. If it's James Norwood I'd be well happy with that too.

Chris Short would have to sort out Norwood's fitness if the comments I've seen from Ipswich fans is accurate.

Apparently not long bought a house up north. Maybe someone from Wigan they’d be fairly cheap. Joe Garner?

Not sure why we would need to 'put a bid in' for an out of contract player but someone on Twitter mentioned Pittman. Hes a free agent. I really hope to god its not him, though..

This will probably bite me on the rear, but I've been fairly underwhelmed at other League 1 clubs signings this summer. If we can seal another 2 decent signings I'm going to be quietly confident!

You need to listen to GUK.

If it was an out of contract player it would have said we have made an offer on a player, surely put a bid in means the other club have accepted but its wether the player will agree to the terns were offering.

I deduced from the comment of a 'bid' that the player would be contracted to a club. Ultimately I think that's what was inferred from the article.

As an outside chance (if not Will Grigg), could it be Josh Magennis?...

Iirc, KR wasn't impressed with Magennis when he managed him at Charlton when asked a question about signing himvfor Oxford by a young kid.

So someone has put in a low offer for a player out of contract (according to the twitter replies) ??

He's under 24, and been offered an equal or better deal than he was on before by his current club, so a compensation fee needs to be agreed, like we had last year with Fosu. Otherwise it goes to a lengthy abitration process.
