Well, what people say and do are two different things. I mean, I remember MApp saying he’d shook hands on a deal with a player a few years ago and it never happened!!

Matty probably just heard Sunderland posted a £10.6mn pre tax loss 2018-19. Hate to think what 19-20 will be.

Given that Sunderland had parachute payments of £35m in 2018-19 and sold players (Borini, Lens, McNair, Khazri, Maja etc.) for more than £30m total........for them to lose £10.6m and still fail to win promotion is a pretty shocking effort from all concerned.

But more importantly, Matty Taylor - awesome. Reliable 20 goal strikers at League One level are such a rare breed. If he gets fit and stays fit then that's now a position we don't have to worry about (although obviously we'll need some backup, along with Agyei, in case he doesn't. Hopefully we're looking at some young talented strikers to take a flyer on and/or loan).

Im not sure that’s the signing Tiger was alluding to, but he’s certainly loved here, especially RyanBirdio! Nevertheless it’s been an extremely solid start to the window. Cooper, and Taylor in, now let’s bring in more quality additions, and push on from a frustrating end to last season.
