General Jan transfer window

obviously everyone is upset atm but would you honestly rather we chuck money at players we don’t see improving the current starting XI...
Of course that is if any were available that were suitable....there would have been an ongoing search and bids for rb and striker regardless of the offer for Tariq and Shandon..anyone wd think we hadn't brought anyone in at all!! Are we really buying or loaning anything that moves or has a high price tag like Man U for example. Am also sure that swinging the odd million wasn't going to cut it s o it took an exceptional bid to be taken seriously by club and players. It's horrible that we don't get to see them anymore in yellow but we should be proud they have achieved so much with us.Footy is a sour business at times and a hard pill to swallow.

Could it be that we are spending an awful lot on wages for the loan signings

Could it be that this money is being put aside for something else ie a Stadium Current or new?

I certainly don’t think it comes to lack of ambition! It’s not your money to spend, and if the club have tried to sign players, and didn’t want to come south from Scotland, then that’s not the manager or boards fault. I think some people need to stop bed wetting, and think how far we’ve come from where we were in them dark conference days. Give me trips and visits from Ipswich, Sunderland among others, compared to days out against Eastbourne, Lewes and Barrow any day.

Let’s look forward to the remainder of the season, and cheer the boys on starting with Blackpool tomorrow.
Agree completely...but why say we will bid a million for cadden , no players will leave unless crazy money, we need a full back and forward but end up with none of those . If they had said we might lose a player or two if the right offers came along than fine and long term future is key then we all wouldn't have expected quite so much.

Save the money now, use it to sign Browne in the summer

For some of you just calm down. We are a small club trying a build for a successful future, we have inherent debt and poor commercial opportunities to make cash. We need to sell players to balance the books to ensure we are here tomorrow. Why are we not celebrating that Taylor hasn’t been recalled and our engine room midfield is still incredibly strong. Tbh we’ve had the best out of Fosu and he’s been replaced by Brown and SB has only played 7 games this year and we’ve got fantastic talent to use in the middle of the park. For fcuk sake some of you dreamers wake up and smell the coffee, enjoy the great football we’ve produced and celebrate how well the club has done on a tight budget.

You can only judge firstly on what people say and what people do. Then, if they have the same outcome, it's called trust. If not, you ignore the former and focus on the latter. It's all on what the board do. Talk is cheap.

The actions to date discount most of what has been said by Zaki and the board. Tokenism...but nothing concrete...and the actions that they have taken (Whyte, Fosbap) leave cause for concern.

The plan going forward - support the team, ignore anything said, wait for better actions.

Unfortunately there is such a lack of trust that it is unlikely that there will be any better actions.

All we can hope for is that the squad left can be organised and inspired by Robinson. There is enough there to be that way. All we can do is hope that we don't have another injury crisis. Because with this squad it would be damned difficult to survive a another one. Reaching the play offs is unlikely now, but one can still hope for a miracle.

gees your hard work

well you certainly don't tell fans of the fans club that you're ambitious and seeking promotion then do f**k all on the day it was most needed, it's not like the board have an aversion to keeping silent.

Ignore him he either works for the club or is a swinedon fan.

Presumably you are not going tomorrow (hopefully)?

Oh, the fool I am I will be there folley me old mucka, and at Peterborough and Bolton et al, supporting the team that have turned my stomach tonight.
Is chief spin master going (hopefully not) with no doubt a pre match meal with tiger and chums before the game? :ROFLMAO:

Have you not read this thread? No one is saying we shouldnt of sold. The issue is timing, fee being mentioned too low for Baptiste and not reinvested in the areas we were promised at the start of Jan.
