General Jan transfer window

Doubt we will keep Cadden - if we keep him on loan for the remainder of the season I would be ecstatic.

We will have Thorne and Woodburn back in January, Hanson the start of December - I would bring in a RB and see if we can add some pace off the bench. Someone like Nya Kirby. Hopefully Agyei will have some minutes soon!

I'd like a right winger, I know Forde is back now and Woodburn will be back too but starting Sykes there has not been ideal i'd get one in and let them fight for game time

A right back if Cadden goes, other than that I think we are pretty much set unless we want cover for Ruffels, or someone leaves

We need a winger with pace. We’re definitely a body light in wide areas and need someone who can just put their head down and turn on the after burners.

Before that though, we need to ensure Taylor at least finishes the season here and doesn’t get recalled, and do whatever possible to stop Columbus taking Cadden across the pond. I don’t fancy our chances on the latter, but it would be a heck of a boost.

Key for us is to keep this squad together come 1st February Taylor Cadden Fosu Brannagan

agree with others we could do with possibly a Left Back as cover & another pacy Winger as we didn’t really replace Gavin Whyte but that hasn’t been a issue with Henry played the majority on that right hand side building a great partnership with Cadden

apart from that I don’t anywhere else we need to strengthen

Isn't this a bit like the Christmas decorations going up in the shops mid-October? It is just the start of November and here we are with the January window thread. (or is it me?)

If you want to get your fans kids the right players gifts for January Christmas, now is a good time to gauge the sort of winger toy they want, before all the good ones are snapped up by other clubs parents.

Taylor can't play for anyone apart from us and Bristol City, and they have no plans to recall him, so it'll either be an extended loan or (very likely) a permanent deal in January. It was already discussed as part of the loan and further discussions have taken place with all parties.

Also discussions have taken place to keep Chris Cadden until then end of the season. Nothing guaranteed, but the fact that all parties are talking makes it something that could happen. If he does leave, I'd think that we would look to start with Sam Long and recruit back up if a long term replacement can't be found.

Beyond that I'd guess it would depend on injuries between now and then. Right wing, left back and centre mid are areas that are short at the moment, but get everyone fit and find a way for Dan Ageyi to get in the team and it looks a much better picture.

Depends if agyei can break in to the team. If he is deemed not good enough. Then we need someone to replace him that can do a job. Also someone in to cover left back. If Thorne and Woodburn come back and stay injury free for the rest of the season, then midfield sorted. Anyone else in though is a bonus.

We have Berkoe who could cover left back potentially so that might not be such an issue.

I'd say a CB/Rb, a Wide player and a Striker

The thing with CM is we have been incredibly unlucky with injuries, and having 4 (I think - Hanson, CB, Thorne, Woodburn) out is pretty unusual. Using any more of our budget on CM may leave us in a position where we have insufficient resources to cover areas where we have inadequate cover, but have so far been reasonably lucky - left back, for instance.

I'd obviously love to get in a quick winger, because they're exciting players to have on the pitch, but I do rate Forde (I think perhaps more than some on here), we have Hall improving all the time, Sykes and Henry who can do a job there, and Napa to come back too don't forget.

I think we need to reenforce defence. A specialist RB if Cadden leaves, another specialist LB (Berkoe not ready yet I don't think) and maybe a versatile backup CB who can also play on the left or right of defence if needs be. If FM has taught me anything, they're always useful players to have on the bench.

Is it sacrilege to say a keeper?
Not at all. It seems fairly obvious that Eastwood will be moving up north at the end of the season. Makes sense to bed a new keeper in ready for next season. Although he'll have to do well to de-throne Eastwood.

Definitely don’t think we need a centre back given that we signed Moore and he can barely get a game. If we manage to keep Cadden and Taylor then we don’t need a RB or striker either.

In fact if we keep our squad intact then the only signing I’d like to see is a really pacy right winger, a Gavin Whyte mark 2. Spend big on that and keep our team together and it’s promotion I reckon... (I’ve seen multiple games this season, Portsmouth away being the most recent, that I think we’d have won if we’d had Whyte in the team)

We will not have Throne back. His loan is only until January.

I think even if we do lose Cadden and Taylor in January, then hopefully we'll be in a strong position in the table to attract the right quality replacements. In the past couple of years we've struggled to attract the bigger players because of our league position, but hopefully it would be similar to when we lost Baldock (thanks KR) and gained Kenny.
