General Jan transfer window

I’d like to say I had better news but as Far as I’m aware, we’re not particularly close on any. That’s not to say it wont happen mind you.

Cadden won’t happen - forget that one.
If that’s the case then I’m convinced that something has changed dramatically in the last few weeks off the field.

The club acknowledge on several occassions that we need to strengthen at striker and RB,

we make announcements that players are lined up,

we have a lucrative unbudgeted cup run,

we still dont make any permanent signings,

we then sell two key players,

we end the transfer window with no further signings.

Doesn't add up.

Bad timing and a shame if we only got a couple of mil for Shandon but imo neither of them get into our best healthy 11 so not the end of the world

sell on or not I hope Shandon smashes it for them, Fosu I can’t see getting a game for them unless he gets back to early form, then maybe he’s a decent back up for them

So you don't believe our manager?
You have said 4 mill. Our manager has said more that 2.25 m....imo to try and lessen the blow. I admire your positivity to absolutely everything... you should work in marketing. Oh wait you do.

Because buying clubs like to down play the cost to keep expectations down, selling clubs like to down play the cost so they don't get rinsed when looking at replacements, and national media like an easy story. "Undisclosed but in the region of £3m" meets everyone's needs but is lower than the actual deal.

You forgot to mention that it also gives amble opportunity for clubs and their forum posters to keep the web of spin going.Would it not then logically follow that since this is a regular thing that any selling club would still ask above the odds knowing full well that the buying club just made a few quid more than stated from a player they sold?

it's amazing that in such a short time so many who had Baptiste at 5 million as a starting point suddenly now are relieved we got rid of such a crock.

Someone implied on the radio that the cash had run out and was laughed out the place on here. Dear old scotchers then assured everyone that we were bloody huge hitters and we would be amazed at the boards commitment. We had Steve O'Donnell in the bag save for a couple of tweaks.

Robbo makes a panic plea today, knowing he is about to have the rug swept from him.

And were told that yet another of our targets turned us down. Funny that.
