I’d like to say I had better news but as Far as I’m aware, we’re not particularly close on any. That’s not to say it wont happen mind you.@ECYellow enlighten us. How likely is it we will make some signings tomorrow
Why not believe our manager who has stated it was significantly more? He will know more than the press. You can spin it every way you want. National press are reporting 3mill. Ill choose to believe them.
If that’s the case then I’m convinced that something has changed dramatically in the last few weeks off the field.I’d like to say I had better news but as Far as I’m aware, we’re not particularly close on any. That’s not to say it wont happen mind you.
Cadden won’t happen - forget that one.
You have said 4 mill. Our manager has said more that 2.25 m....imo to try and lessen the blow. I admire your positivity to absolutely everything... you should work in marketing. Oh wait you do.So you don't believe our manager?
Because buying clubs like to down play the cost to keep expectations down, selling clubs like to down play the cost so they don't get rinsed when looking at replacements, and national media like an easy story. "Undisclosed but in the region of £3m" meets everyone's needs but is lower than the actual deal.
Someone implied on the radio that the cash had run out and was laughed out the place on here. Dear old scotchers then assured everyone that we were bloody huge hitters and we would be amazed at the boards commitment. We had Steve O'Donnell in the bag save for a couple of tweaks. If that’s the case then I’m convinced that something has changed dramatically in the last few weeks off the field.
The club acknowledge on several occassions that we need to strengthen at striker and RB,
we make announcements that players are lined up,
we have a lucrative unbudgeted cup run,
we still dont make any permanent signings,
we then sell two key players,
we end the transfer window with no further signings.
Doesn't add up.
Not so fussed with Fosu, 750k for 6 months is fine
Less what we paid for him.
Slightly surprised the club agreed such a low sale clause in his contract.
Wil Grig in the door tomorrow then
Scott was ok, but Quinn was awful. This double deal could quite possibly have a similar outcome...Still haven't forgiven you for taking them. It's taken us 19 years - but I think this may be a fair swap!

Only if Grigg forced the deal through himself, and refuses to sign elsewhere. Sunderland are desperate to get him out of the club.
Fingers crossed.
