General Jan transfer window

Could be worse might toughen him up a bit maybe send him to ox city
The last thing that somebody needs whose knee was so badly mangled a year ago that they weren’t sure if they’d ever be able to run properly again, let alone play contact sport at any level, is ‘toughening up’. You might as well suggest that somebody who has recovered from a broken back needs throwing down the stairs a few times. His situation is nothing to do with needing to be booted up and down the pitch by non league cloggers for a few months to ‘sort him out’.

The second worst thing for a bad knee is an artificial pitch.

I wonder if this is going to be one of those names that will constantly appear as a potential loan signing and we end up with “ WHO “?

Whether it is or isnt, surely we have a very good squad and it is hardly a big deal?
KR was suggesting yesterday maybe one before Hartlepool and one just after (but none of them could play in the Hartlepool game anyway)
To me it is the quality that matters. So in the last what 2 to 3 transfer windows they have been excellent overall? Let's hope the same whether on 2 January or 28th.

At the end of the day the main point is that KR has said about bringing in 4 to 5 quality players, as will possibly Sunderland and others with financial clout. We are not in the same financial league as them, but with Cadden going, possibly Brannigan/Baptiste being sold and players going out on loan, we need these kind of additions to keep the momentum going to cover such losses.

With no-one dominating the league and every team beatable, never in 10 years or so have we been in such a good position to gain promotion, the clearly stated aim of the board. They therefore need to back KR to allow him to get these deals over the line.

I f we sell Branningan and Baptiste I think we could kiss goodbye in being serious challengers they’re two very important parts of our team
