In all competitions we've seen 40 goals and 2 penalty shootouts in 11 games at home, with 8 wins, 1 draw (Coventry) and 2 defeats (Burton, Pompey).

We're playing some fantastic football, got some genuinely top quality players at this level and are slowly working our way up the league, and are 90 mins away from the quarterfinals of the league cup!

If that's not enough to get people through the gate, then I don't know what more we can really do? (Except all tickets for a £1 or whatever bullcrap some expect!!!)

Pompey was a draw btw ?

I understand your point but ticket prices haven't changed this season. Season tickets are cheaper as well.

At the same time last season we hadn't won for 8 games, only picking up 2 points in those 8 games and we had Plymouth at home and got a home crowd of 6047.
This time we had lost 1 game in 8. Scored 21 goals, won 4 and only conceded 6 goals. Yet we only mustered 6370 home fans yesterday. Only 323 more fans is poor IMO. Fans go on about want the club to progress and have ambitions of getting to the championship but if that is going to happen everyone needs to get together as one to help achieve that.
That’s roughly a 20% increase - hardly poor! We are not going to suddenly get a full house every week.

edit: my maths is bad. It’s about 5% which IS poor!

Sitting in the East Stand (behind the goal) it was definitely deflected giving the keeper no chance to react.
Maybe, but it went in and was a good shot. I’msure you and I along with the rest in from the boot, header, off someone’s a**e in off the post they all count ?

Didn’t think it was ever in doubt it was a deflection? From the north stand it was obvious and could even have bent wide or the keeper may have saved it?

I do love the way that the BbC sport describe this game.

Rob Dickie and Rob Hall also went close in a one-sided win.

No extended highlights are available on iFollow today but you can watch the whole match broadcast lasting 106 minuts.

Yes enjoyed watching the game again with pictures to go with the radox commentary..even some classic Harrisballs yesterday..and it's even better when you know the positive result.

Player ratings:

Eastwood: 7 - No saves to make but two good catches under pressure and decent kicking when needed

Cadden: 8 - Got forward well, classy assist for the second goal

Dickie: 8 - Classy, composed, brought the ball out well

Mousinho: 8.5 - Made some vital blocks and clearance but also wanted the ball played to him at all times

Ruffels: 7 - Went about his business in a solid fashion, as usual

Gorrin: 7.5 - Sat in front of the back four and contributed well to the clean sheet

Brannigan: 8.5 - Took his goal well and constantly collected the ball from the CBs. My MOTM probably

Henry: 7.5 - Scored two vital goals but his overall play was slightly down, gave the ball away a couple of times in dangerous situations but once again has the knack of scoring when we need him to

Sykes: 7 - I prefer him centrally but he worked hard and put in a battling performance even when in the wars

Fosu: 8 - Loved his tracking back. He just looks dangerous on the ball every time he gets it, would have liked to see him driving forwards more in the second half. We are a totally different side with him in than without, he draws players towards him and that frees up others, as we saw with the goal

Mackie: 7- Robinson had him as MOTM but I thought he worked very hard without doing too much, hit a good chance straight at the keeper. Feel like Taylor would have scored if he played.

Not sure why you feel the constant need to post in the manner of your last sentence. We all support the same club and some have different views to you. I think that might just be ok and the rudeness is unnecessary especially given your continual grievances raised against Methven for similar.

but presumably you understand the irony of your overall post?

The results are incredible, the crowds are still poor, but you don’t want to try innovative or different approaches.

Good result for us at Coventry. Tranmere won 0-1 ?

watched a fair bit of it - was like watching us at times earlier in the season - Cov had virtually all the chances, couldn't score in a brothel and then paid for it - great for us though

were Coventry wearing their 3rd kit (celebrating 40 years of 2-tone)?

guess after losing to Tranmere, for Cov City , todays match wasnt all that, err, Special
