as Agyei is permanent is the new striker target going to be a loan?
as much as I'd love us to get a 'big name' I reckon a premiership youngster will be more likely now.
You may end up being right, but I think it’s quite telling that Agyei wasn’t given the number 9 shirt despite being signed on a three year deal for cash. They’re clearly saving that number, and I think that suggests that they’re at least pretty confident that whoever comes in will be of a certain standard.

any ideas what happened re player KR was talking about on final day of premier and championship transfer day?
said he’d be watching out and if he (the player) didn’t get a move by 5pm then we may have a chance.

That was Taylor

And you know this because 2 + 2 =5

Nope - I know for the same reason I knew on the Championship & PL deadline day. It wasn't the right time to spout it on forums, though, because so many things needed to happen.

It’s guess work, Taylor appears in the tunnel and suddenly that is the championship in layer we were looking at and now it materialises that Taylor was there for the mascot. There’s to much about anything and everything about who is and who isn’t coming to the club, it possibly may have been Taylor but it’s dragged on since tunnel-gate for any thing to happen and which the handshake sage I think this business has to be taken with a pinch of salt, and maybe KR was looking at someone else depending on whether they’re club has a transfer in to allow our target out.

How do Fleetwood etc get around that then??

They rent out office space at their stadium which counts as an additional revenue stream.

The rent they charge, apparently, is quite high. And the company renting just so happens to be owned by the owner of the club!

Our Billionaire Boy's Club could easily "sponsor" the team shirt in a multi-million deal if they wanted to and we would be compliant with FFP.

However, they would struggle to recoup their money in the event of selling as the cost would be expensed rather than recorded in the Balance Sheet as debt.

Well to me it reads like Taylor is being shown the door at BC, so, if we are serious about getting a proven striker in, he is one that we should be interested in.
Money does seem to be an issue (Isn’t it always?), goalscorers command top dollar both in transfer fees and wages, but we must be close to signing him or he would not have been here.
He wants the best deal for himself (as he always has) so we will just have to wait and see if we have put together the sweetest deal in town.

It sounds as if Taylor can sit it out until the January transfer window or try and get a deal now.
With Sunderland and Pompey unlikely to want another striker, IF he moves we just be in a good position still?
