It’s what tiger said on Radox last night, basically player had come down for a medical and it would be announced today, I only enquires anyone have an idea alas to what time. So if fbs were told different are we back to bull s**t
He cant play tomorrow so whether it is announced today or tomorrow makes no difference in the scheme of things.
Of course he hadn't signed any contract and until that happens things can change...

A valid point if, the stadium were to be built on land outside of the "City" Given that when Greater Leys was built, a deal was done to bring the land into OCC territory. Over the other side of the Grenoble road it's still SODC. My hope is that somehow we get a stadium within OCC, not just for the geographic status as "Oxford" but more from the perspective of existing contacts and the more favourable planning.

Was that side of the Grenoble road not moved to OCC when Greater Leys was built pre the ground being built?

Deals can be done long before they're announced. Fosu was announced when the team were in Portugal but the media photo was taken at the training ground a week before!

As for the deals done yesterday at short notice, do you really think they all happened in the blink of an eye or maybe they were being talked about for weeks, just like our deals!

I’m not sure what your saying @Scotchegg ?
Your tone seems like you’re disagreeing with my post. No surprise there! I’m starting to think your employed by OUFC as a social media influencer ;-)
But you support my post with two points that only support my thoughts.
Fosu exactly! Pictures taken ages before the announcement, player training with us, even on the plane to Portugal but it took us an age to get the deal actually done.
The deals done on transfer deadline day have been planned for weeks. I’d be surprised if all of them were but even so. I’d say the same thing about the deal for this player. In fact it’s almost identical as players were having medicals all over the place yesterday and deals done only hours later.

You're getting confused between a deal being completed and it bring announced. The Fosu deal didn't take ages to get done as you said. It was done and dusted fairly early but couldn't be rubber stamped and announced until 1st July. The same with deals yesterday where the ground work would have been done before but all pulled together on deadline day. That's much easier to do when you can fly players around on private planes or have doctors travelling to do the medicals etc.

It's a little slower in league one but absolutely no reason why a medical couldn't have been completed yesterday, deal agreed and everything ready for an announcement later today or even tomorrow.

I’m not to concerned if the new strikers can play tomorrow or not. If Mackie is ok and fit I’d play him. He put in a great shift last week, and if he can do that again I’d be very pleased. I believe we can get 3 points without any new faces tomorrow.

Beevers has a nightmare vs fleetwood and is alongside Kent who has just come into league 1 and is quite young...I fancy Mackie to beat them up a bit

I just hope that SD and Charlie haven't gazumped us at the last minute. They tried with Cadden, maybe using ECy as their head scout.

Think "local authority" as opposed to "County" Initial planning goes before the local lot. Hence why SODC get so many mentions with regard to attempts to develop the land adjacent to the sewage works on the south side of Grenoble Road.

It would be nice to think that all of the authorities would support us.

Middlesbrough May nip or better still Cardiff for a loan
