I wouldn't be so sure. While some of the talked about players look promising, there is not a lot of goals in their records. Henry has a good goal scoring record for us from midfield and I think that could be important.
Henry is in his last year tho so maybe already planning ahead

Gorrin/Thorne/Mous/Hanson all battling for the DM spot. You'd not want to play more than two of them.

We also have three right-backs.

Could Hanson be departing?
Would rather he went on loan than Baptiste. Six months to a season of regular football at a good L2 team could really see him develop into the player we hoped he would be when he signed. Baptiste should be considered a starter when fit IMO.

Agree re-Henry. I think he'll be marginalised as the season goes on.

He was comfortably our best player for the first half of last seasons (it was a shame about the rest of the team) and then his performances plummeted from Christmas. I see no reason he couldn't get back to form but he is in the last year of his contract so this could be forward planning also.

We've spent most of this transfer window demanding 2 players for each position, players with experience so we don't have to rely on the youngster. Now we've people questioning where they'll all play!!!

Thorne could sit alongside Gorrin to allow Brannagan/Baptiste to play further forward. Or they could all three sit deep to snuff out the oppositions midfield, but still having wingers/forwards to stretch the game on the break. If he's unable to play every week then Hanson has shown that he's more capable of sitting in, or you bring in Mous. There are lots of options available to us, something we've been screaming out for!

The awkward thing with Baptiste is him getting game time away until Jan may be better for him in the long term than waiting for a go with us and getting an old 20 mins here or there.
I think starting out by giving him the odd 20 minute run out is exactly what we should do. I'd be very disappointed if we couldn't use him ourselves before January.

This window is turning into a positive one, time to get all the players in and try and turn them into a competitive team, we might be lucky and hit the ground running and hopefully don’t have the poor start that had to redressed in the January window, let’s hope we turn the good news on paper onto the pitch.
Yes let's hope!
I can't help thinking that the catalyst to all this incoming activity was the sale of Gav.

The thing is, will he even get near the squad consistently? It's the balance between waiting for him to get fit, but he can't get match fit as he's stuck down the pecking order. It's where a loan move becomes a more realistic way to get him back to fitness

Not sure why Agyei would need to fly in. If he's still with Burnley, their first team and U23s have been playing in England. I imagine it's someone else, especially as if rumoured we could not agree terms with Agyei.

Sorry if this is a bit off tangent, but we seem to have cover for most positions now (striker immanent hopefully) but the left back area still bothers me. If Ruffels gets injured or suspended we really are short in that area. Not sure that Sam Long could play there or not so I think that's another area we should be looking at. Don't know who is available out there to look at.
As made clear by KR that Long and Bercoe will cover for Ruffles

And Burnley doesn't even have an airport!

seems to be a long flight. maybe one of tigers mates from back home

Henry scored a lot of goals for us, but more recently he played a lot of very poor games in which he did very little. I would rather see Sykes/Woodburn in that AMC role than him
