Nick Harris said in commentary that it’s the fear of another terrible start that has people so worried. He’s absolutely spot on there.

I don’t doubt the effort, but unless something unexpected (I’m using KR’s words and tone) happens, we’re staring at some risky loans and another season of catchup.

I wonder if the owners ambitions towards players are just not matched by our revenues or their ability/desire to pay enough to make us more attractive than our rivals, some of whom will be, on paper, a better bet for an in demand player.

I simply said that based on Robo interview it appeared to me that we could expect to see loan players given that Robo himself said he only expects one more player before Sunderland!

So to call me clueless when I based my comment on what was heard on the radio is unfounded

we’ve kept the key players (so far) and brought 2 seemingly quality additions so not too far away

I must admit this forum does have a depressive effect. I'm generally positive...but I'm struggling to see how we can go into our first game against Sunderland without an adequate replacement for a CB that the world knew would be leaving. No one teed up, nothing. Having Mous as CB is liability that cost us heavily last year...I would be most disappointed if that's as good as we can do against Sunderland.
