He has been in relegation teams I believe in the past 2 seasons (at Walsall last season)
We need a lot better unless you are suggesting back up?

He’s a versatile players who can play in a number of positions when he signed he played a lot at right back to start with then played CB when Nelson was out for the season

Stevenage & Preston he was always a centre midfielder then at Burton

I suspect if Mousinho had a run of games in central defence with a decent defensive midfielder in front of him (of the quality of Kashi for example) he would be much more effective. He didn’t have that protection last season.

My feeling is that we improved last season not because Mousinho vacated the central defence but because he tightened up the midfield.

I’m ok with Mousinho & Long covering Dickie plus new signing.

As others have said, with Cadden?, plus new quality CD, new quality CF, supplemented by young loanees & U23s.

Always an element of risk I know but Quality over quantity is the way to go.

You're on the look out for a property, you have a budget and see what's available at the time. You find an ideal home, maybe a little over budget but it looks perfect. you make an offer and it it gets accepted.
Unfortunately it is part of a chain and due to circumstances out of your control somewhere along the line the deal falls through. Now in a situation where you can keep your offer on the table (which could go on for weeks) or maybe look at a different properties as the market changes constantly as different opportunities arise and people shuffle their property portfolios.

Long story short, a semi-detached property is not going to bolster your defence or net you 20+ goals a season. It may even require underpinning so you damn well better get a survey.

To be fair, Mous is about as mobile as a semi-detached when playing CB...

That may be partially true, but we were also better without Mous in midfield but with Kashi. As a CB he was prone to one or two horrible mistakes per game and is as slow as a snail who has been nailed to a brick. In central midfield speed wasn't so much an option and he could use his experience.

I haven’t said it’s a done deal. I’ve said they’ve met so he is a player that’s being considered quite seriously.

I don’t think panic is fair. Concern, yes. KR himself appears not to think anything is imminent.

We all want today to be the day that we unveil one of the Holy Trinity, but, and perhaps this is the atheist in me talking, Holy Trinities have a habit of not materialising.

I'm not by any means confident that we'll get through to the end of August with him still here TBH. If money is as tight as it seems, then to sell him would be incredibly tempting.
