Yet their last four finishes are 9th, 11th, 14th and 9th...

It’s the same every season at Posh, a lot of spin in the summer then they never live up to the billing.
Peterborough buy players early (spend a lot of money at times).
They get close to the play offs. Often sack a manager if they do not make the play offs.

Tbf, their recruitment this year has been very good.

Butler is a very good LB that I would have loved to see here, Niall Mason was one of the best attacking RBs before he was sacked from Doncaster, Pym has been one of the best GKs in league 2 for the last few seasons and is at a good age...throw in Mo Eisa, thats a pretty decent window that we would be very happy with.

Not sure if Ferguson will get the best out of them, but they certainly have picked up some talent with good resale

Elisa is the interesting one.
He is a risk. He did very well at Cheltenham but was injured and then not used much by Johnson at Bristol City, who seemed happy to let him go.
He will be expected to score the goals for them but which way will it go?

Tbf, on paper their recruitment is generally good most years. On the pitch however....

I didn’t know that but he clearly takes more of an active role and is savvy in selling players and reinvesting funds in good strikers which is crucial to get up the top end of the table.

Think DMac provides the funds. But Barry Fry as director of football is the main player for the actual dealings and identification.

Im willing to bet that Eisa will be league top scorer this year. Fantastic talent.

Didn’t he resign after being found guilty of betting on one of his own players ?

No chance not got any experience above league2 and that was only 1 season. At the moment top scorer in the league is between John Marquis, Jonson Clarke Harris and Ellis Harrison. Hopefully we'll get someone as good soon.

Don’t see him getting 20+ goals he’s awful
