While I find kip’s tone on anything OUFC related weirdly negative, he was proven right about the summer transfer window last season.

As last summer, we were told we’d be doing business early, and we haven’t.

I’m not panicking, but the same people who went for him last year are going to do the same again, despite his decent track record.

Fingers crossed he’s wrong this time.
KR suggested at the start of the week that the club were going to do 3 medicals in the next 10 days.
Let's wait and see?

True, but if that is your default position and have said it for the past 20 seasons you are bound to be correct at least once in a while

Having said that I do agree that the past two summer transfer windows have been appalling, 2 seasons ago, Pep's choices were terrible, last season it felt like the finances weren't available in the UK to complete the deals in time.

I'm hoping that we will be announcing 2 or 3 signings in very quick succession over the next week. Assuming they are decent, I think that would appease a fair few fans, .... for now.

Procrastinating at work, as I want to get the fixtures in and plan a few weekends away.

I wonder if this means Mous has turned down a coaching role?
Maybe if it's Keown. If it's Jeffers, then we have the striking coach that some have suggested we needed last year.

Mous should know he has no better start to a coaching role than here. He knows the squad. He knows and enjoys the environment. We've kept his best mate around in a coaching capacity.

I reckon it’s more likely to be Jeffers considering Keown’s got a nice cushy tv pundit job

Getting back to the subject of bringing in top players...!!?

We couldn’t afford him, and at 27 he is likely looking for the big wage but John Marquis would be that striker... proven at this level, fits our system and he scored 21 goals last season.
We bought a player of his quality, at least we would know that we are going for it.

Lol. Its looking increasingly likely we'll have zero new first team players when training resumes.

Apparently Marquis is a target for Sunderland
