Oxford and Lincoln want Oxfordshire born midfielder Jorge Grant.
Hearing an annoucement could be made before the end of the day.
Disappointing loans?
Yes, 'disappointing loans'.
Hence why Luton sent him back early after 2 goals in 17 games and 4 for Mansfield in 17 games too. The latter part of his loan at Mansfield was spent on the bench after a bright start. He was in L2 team of the year two seasons ago at County and scoring for fun and it would have been 'disappointing' back then if you'd have said two seasons later he wouldn't be able to make the Mansfield team in the same league and with a combined record of 6 goals from 34 games in two loans spells.
In my opinion that represents two 'disappointing loans'.
WOW - 6 perms?????? So that'll be Keegan signing, and McDermott and .....
Just in time to start pre season, personally I thought there would have been more in by now with pre season starting.
But what do I know
Would love to see Grant here.
There's more to a player than just goals. He was one of the most creative players in league 2. He still managed 1122 minutes at Luton and 1355 minutes at Mansfield
Would be a fantastic signing. Lincoln is closer to his current base if he is still in the area though and could Lincoln afford a higher wage structure for him than we could?
Which were ?Lincoln couldn't if the rumours of the discussions not long ago between the Cowleys and the Lincoln Board is true.
Which were ?
ThanksThat the Cowleys were deeply unhappy with the Board as budgets weren't being increased by much from the L2 budget. The Cowleys want to try to go straight through so wanted a big increase.
Sorry overlooked Baptist, so scratch a DM. Still think we need some more defensive playersShandon Baptiste is our DM. We just put mous there until Shandon is fit!
I see Shandon as a box to box midfielder rather than a sit in front of back four tbhSorry overlooked Baptist, so scratch a DM. Still think we need some more defensive players
Agreed. Shannon is great at driving through midfield, carrying the ball and committting tackles. Not really so much in a disciplined role in front of the defence in my opinionI see Shandon as a box to box midfielder rather than a sit in front of back four tbh
