Exactly the point. They have to pay them and give signon fees. We don’t have that sort of money to invest, even if there is a chance of profit

Peterborough are starting to P**s me off. Every May/June they seem to be like a kid in a sweet shop and hoover up loads of signings. If we’re totally honest, none of us would be disappointed with the signings they’re making if it was us making them. I’m not sure how they manage to keep financing all their business.
Still in league 1 though aren't they. With board members prepared to invest in the club, rather than treating it as a toy??

Some (not as many as last year ) loans
We’ll have as many loans as we can fit, why would we not utilise the system to the max? All other clubs will. We’d be foolish not to.
5 in a match day squad so I think no more than that otherwise it’s pointless
Yes, touche; totally agree with that.
My point being; even with a settled XI whose registrations we own, we'd be very short-sighted not to beef up the squad with five extra Premier League Academy standard players who might feature at some point in nine months.
Didn’t we try to sign him a year or two ago?Should make an offer for Godden now think he would fit our system very well.
We enquired when he was at Stevenage. A "bit" above our price range!Didn’t we try to sign him a year or two ago?
Yes but surely will get very limited game time at Peterborough now maybe even a possibility of a loan signing. We enquired when he was at Stevenage. A "bit" above our price range!
was that not Jay Emmanuel-Thomas?Have a sneaky suspicion it was Godden who refused to do the run so we pulled out of the signing.
