National News The Brexit Thread ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ

To paraphrase that 49 page report, Brexit success will be a return to predicted GDP output before we left?

The world has changed since Brexit, getting back to "normal" will be an achievement in itself.
The sky didn`t fall in because of Brexit.
Nobody died because of Brexit.
Nobody starved because of Brexit.
The markets didn`t collapse because of Brexit.
And we are only 6 months in........after years of dither, delay, and foiled attempts at rejecting the peoples choice. ;) ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

No positives either... Well, apart from the morale of our fish...

Brexit effectively let in the Indian variant. If we werenโ€™t searching for trade deals in India, weโ€™d locked the borders down much quicker like everyone else did.

How do you think Covid will change Brexit?

Wow
The first person who has remotely suggested that Brexit let in the Indian variant from what I have read!! Extraordinary
That very much depends on what youโ€™ve read lol.
The timings between Borisโ€™ planned Indian trade deal trip, and the decision to keep Indian travel open is very strange seeing that they closed travel with Pakistan and Bangladesh at the same time with similar number of cases.

TBF it is a Brexit criticism, but not one people could have foreseen a couple of years ago.

Many Europesn Countries have the Indian variant (Germany, France, Denmark). Even Australia have 80 cases of the Indian vavariant. But I guess that it is still all the fault of Brexit based on some bizarre link.

And โ€œmostโ€ EU members have acted autonomously, in how they have managed the COVID pandemic .

But itโ€™s not 4330 a day!

Some things will be caused by Brexit, itโ€™s inevitable.

You forgot 'Trump wasn't made Prime Minister' to your list of things never claimed by serious remain commentators.

Remember we were told (almost certainly by the Daily Express) that a reason to leave the EU was to rid ourselves of the supposed EU red?
