Badge while it's on a shirt. I felt he was referring to it being on display in various things such as flags, posters, etc. In which case, I think crest is more suitable than badge.

I'll say you definitely "play for the badge" not the "crest", but when not on the shirt, I generally refer to it as the crest.

A massive thank you to the Board of directors who own the club what an amazing day ,the fans for up for the game and the players were simply awesome what a performance, well done Des you had a rough ride but you have done a remarkable job.
