In 2015 we signed Sercombe, Ryan Taylor and Roofe before June. Shows the benefit of getting the squad sorted quickly.

I get that sometimes you have to wait but hopefully we can get the majority of deals done at least before pre season starts, and not be in the same mess as we were last year.

I wonder if we’ll be in for Louie Barry - didn’t have the best loan spell under Manning at MK but he’ll be aware of how talented he is having worked with him. Fresh off a very good loan in League 2 and one would think maybe available for a fee given he’s never going to break into the Villa first team. Would fit the new/old model of high sell-on value.
