Think a pair of attacking fullbacks will be on the shopping list.
I thought Ruffels did really well second half, the whole defence did. Not really a game to judge anyone on, anyway.Ruffels was suspect AGAIN. Happy to be proven wrong but I have watched many games this season and he has been well below the quality required. Fair play to Sam Long for putting in another big shift.
Yep he did very well defensively but he does lack a bit going forward. I suppose it depends on what KR wants from his full back. To be so determined to bring Cadden in during the summer indicates he wanted an attacking overlapping fullback, but if hes had a change of mind and now feels he needs a solid defensive fullback to cover the young wingers he’s brought in then he’s ideal.Sam Long deserved his MOTM tonight. He might not be the flashiest or most cultured from time to time but he was a rock. Numerous times he won important clearing headers, or calmly flicked the ball away when under pressure from more than one forward etc. He looked a very competent defender and did everything perfectly calmly and to a decent standard. There’s a lot to be said for someone who can give you that level of consistency, as much as there is somebody who is a little more of a swashbuckler.
Fair play to him.
Judging him on many games. He is poor on the ball and often misplaces his passes into midfield. He gets caught in possession and caught out of position. I may be watching a different game to you all but even the RadOx team called it the same: "For every 5 things Ruffels does right, he does 5 things wrong. He's having a shocker" - That has been a common theme.I thought Ruffels did really well second half, the whole defence did. Not really a game to judge anyone on, anyway.
Our full backs are probably our weakest links but I thought he was pretty solid and whole hearted today.Judging him on many games. He is poor on the ball and often misplaces his passes into midfield. Fair enough. I respect your opinion. I just feel as though, given the the way we play, that could well be the difference between play offs and automatic promotion. Our full backs are probably our weakest links but I thought he was pretty solid and whole hearted today.
He did, but not good first half and below par on Saturday. In both matches frequently outpaced and finding himself behind the attacker. Hopefully the second half performance is the level he will be consistent at.Ruffles had a great 2nd half , not understanding this criticism of him at all .

We always struggle with throw ins when Henry is absent, he usually gets himself into a position to accept the ball.I think I noticed a few occasions last night when Gorrin and Dickie seemed to have communication issues....at least it looked to me like this was what Gorrin was suggesting shortly after some of our more incoherent moments.
I am thinking that Cams absence has made this worse as he and Gorrin have such a good partnership/understanding. Without Branners on the pitch, he doesn't have quite the same outlet, which has led to a few moments of indecision.
I also don't get the lack of movement at our throws...but that is a different issue...
I don't think its fair to judge any player during the first 15 mins of torrential rain and wind yesterday....and he came closest to scoring for us also. Not saying he is a world beater but lets not have a couple of indifferent results and look to criticise the team that got us in such a strong positionRuffels had a dodgy opening 15 minutes but was very good from that point on.
Not sure how he got MOTM. Thought Browne was our best player.
