Other European European Super League

It's the small minded Brits who are holding back PSG, Rangers, Marseilles, Ajax etc. It's the small minded naval gazing "English" who have stopped Rangers from joining the PL.
What a rediculous opinion. It is not the fault of the EPL that other leagues are so amateur in their promotion.

Once again though, good fishing.

Why would English wish for those club’s to progress? It’s hardly our fault that they play in leagues that are not attractive to the wider world.

Says the frog who’s country had to be saved twice by the allies 🤣

But France aren’t anything special
Baz man this guy isn't french or German he's a little twerp sat in his bedroom probably in Swindon with the other weirdos....as for his/her/them comment about rangers joining EPL why not say rangers and Celtic are welcome BUT you start at the bottom work your way through the league's like everyone else does

Probably, but he needs an education. PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid the three clubs that are advocating for the ESL are so heavily in debt they need it to get them out of there inflated transfers and wages

The English language and foreign owners know we're a bit more loyal and mad for it re. soccer, due to our weather and topography, therefore we have fewer choices than most other people in western Europe.

Essentially you're saying that European fans can't be arsed to go see their clubs on the regular unless they're playing against a big name or the weather's rubbish?

It's like a little kid not eating his vegetables, and asking why his brother who did gets to have dessert.

No, it's because most others who live in western Europe have more rounded lives than us. It's why we go a little bit more mental about our sports teams than ppl in Madrid, Bilbao etc; you can add Australia as well. There are passionate RL fans in Oz, but generally it's different over there. You know there's been far far less hooliganism over there than here.

That's fine. They can live their lives the way they want over there, and invest in their local sporting teams accordingly. But they can't complain about English clubs spoiling their Super League plans by not joining if they don't want to, mostly in part due to the fact that their product is plenty profitable enough.

By all means, Barca, Real Madrid and PSG can put all their remaining money on black and spin the wheel if they want to, and invite along your Marseille and PSV types as well. But they know it will last just as long as Messi does, because superstars are in short supply once he retires, and that is all that will get people watching. Proper competition is what makes the PL the most-watched league.

What’s held Rangers and Celtic back then? The tropical weather in Glasgow? The fact they barely speak English?

I wouldn’t actually completely disagree with you, the size of England and ease of travel allows for plenty of local games and our success in colonial times made English the world’s language, not certain why we should jump to give those advantages up and lose the money that our very successful football system brings into the coffers?

Basically I couldn’t give a f**k about PSG etc, if they can’t break out from the fact that France has better weather than us then that is a burden they will have to bare, I am sure it isn’t causing them that much lost sleep in the rest of Europe.

Yep,

If I was PSG owners I’d worry more about not being able to win the champions league even with their super stars.

Fair play to the mods for keeping the troll around for a bit to play with and distract us from the other depressing threads.

"Proper competition"? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!. With Arsenal, Man U and Man C at the top of the PL.

Arsenal who haven’t won the league since 2004 you mean? Man U who haven’t won it since 2013 you mean? The premier league could have its 6th different winner in 11 years if Arsenal keep it up, compare that to any other European league.

Newcastle, Brighton, Fulham and Brentford make up 4 of the top 8 at the half way stage, with Liverpool and Chelsea behind them.

A big club like Everton are joint bottom after spending big over the last few years, what ever you think of the premier league you can’t deny that it’s competitive, if you mess up you get punished.

Arsenal last won it when exactly?
Newcastle are up there.
Liverpool who have been top 2 consistently are currently in 9th, Chelsea who are usually always top 4…10th.

Fulham, Brighton and Brentford in the top 10 to break the norm.

So yes it is is becoming a better competition.
