CWC 19 India ?? v Australia ??

I hope its rained off. Indian fans are the cricketing version of Man United fans, most annoying fans in cricket. And Australia are Australia. Shame they can't both lose.
The only consolation is one of them has to lose. Hopefully they will both have their match fees deducted for some spurious reason

given both sets of supporters are supposed to 'travel in numbers' , surprising the amount of empty seats at the Oval

maybe those empty seats have been reserved by London based Aussie bartenders, who were working the late shift till the small hours?

It didn't take long for Warner and Smith to lead the Aussie media's, well Fox anyway, advertising for this match based on what I saw the other day. The Aussies really took that cheating seriously.

Didn't it sell out quite quickly?

IMO both the cheats shouldve had a ten year ban apiece

mildly amusing results to the invitation to suggest a collective name for a group of Australians on the BBC coverage.... best so far :- A Strewth of Australians, A Schooner of Australians..... and my favourite ... A Sandpaper of Australians :sneaky:

75-0 after 15 overs ... slow n steady batting by India so far ;)

!00-0 after 19 overs

Dhawan notched up a half-century as well as reaching the milestone of 2000 odi runs ...only the second Indian batsman to reach that total?

121 after 21 overs.
India look as if they will get a very big score.
Starc only bowled 3 overs to start with and I wonder if they should have kept him on longer to try and get a couple of wickets.

Aussie’s main weakness exposed here - outside of Starc and Cummins, their bowling is looking limited. India are far better than both the Windies and Afghanistan but you’d expect better from them.

Something for England to look at. Play cautious against their pace men and then accelerate against Coulter-Nile, Maxwell and the terminally-useless-in-England Zampa.

Zampa is bowling utter dross. Can’t wait to see Buttler have a go at him.

The trouble is the Aussies will end up using Lyon v England instead of Zampa. Lyon is rarely useless v England!

Oval crowd 20k .... yet there's visibly (& audibly) relatively few supporters of the sandpaper squad there !

153-1 after 27 overs ... Aussie captain Finch had a rant a Cummins , and fielders after a Kholi boundary:LOL:

171-1 after 30 overs

will India stamp on the batting overdrive for the remaining 20 overs, or continue the way theyve batted so far?

Dhawan very lucky then ...went to blast the ball out the ground...missed timed and missed the ball completely and was nearly bowled out!

Kholi gets his half-century ... Idias top 3 batsmen today (so far ) all got at least 50 apiece

246-2 ...9 overs to go

reckon if India exceed 315, Australia will struggle to beat that

India 281-2 6 overs to go

some (though it pains me to say) decent fielding by Aussies to stop a few boundaries!

will India exceed a total of 310?
