PS just had my 60 week J&J Vaccine follow up appointment.
Well done for being in the trial, why wasn’t the J&J rolled out in the UK? Also I assume you had the Pfizer/Moderna booster as normal?PS just had my 60 week J&J Vaccine follow up appointment.
534 deaths today.
How many would it be if we hadn't already won the war on covid al la Nadine Dorries?
Just more Tory lies.

Currently, the death rate is lower than an average year.....
- In the week ending 21 January 2022 (Week 3), 12,776 deaths were registered in England and Wales; this was 535 fewer deaths than the previous week (Week 2) and 8.6% below the five-year average (1,203 fewer deaths).

So that means people aren't dying of Covid then. Thanks doctor.Currently, the death rate is lower than an average year.....

What's your point?People are dying, as they do every day. Comes to us all.
It would be perfectly valid to suggest, excluding covid, fewer people are dying.
Of course folk wearing masks, better hygiene, isolation and other Covid mitigation factors are contributing to that reduction .....
What's your point?
I for one won't be satisfied until the total death rate is 0 per day.The point is a number of people die every day.
You dressed it up as some sort of "lie", I provided the statistics that you might want to try and read and, heaven forbid, understand.
You do struggle don't you.The point is a number of people die every day.

We would, but it's behind a pay wall...Here's a new study for you to fall out over
Covid lockdown ‘prevented only 0.2pc of deaths in first wave’
Researchers say the costs of lockdowns to society far outweighed the benefits and argue that they should be ‘rejected out of hand’www.telegraph.co.uk

Couldn’t read the Tory graph article, but if it’s the same as this one, isn’t it missing the point of lockdowns a bit? It’s not all about reducing covid fatalities, but about flattening the curve so that the health system isn’t flooded resulting in more deaths from other acute emergencies.I'm not and I can read it?
Not as detailed but summarised here
Lockdowns only reduced COVID-19 mortality by .2%, study finds: 'Lockdowns should be rejected out of hand'
Lockdowns during the first COVID-19 wave in the spring of 2020 only reduced COVID-19 mortality by .2% in the U.S. and Europe, according to a Johns Hopkins University meta-analysis of several studies.news.yahoo.com
Good good but in true parliament style i would be interested if you have any insitght into the actual question - why wasnt J&J rolled out? No problem if you dont just good to knowIts being trialed as a single shot on my arm of the study, some participants had two, although I also had a Pfizer booster (don`t ask!!).
The UK bought circa 20 million doses but has given most of them to Covax to distribute in other countries where logistics make it difficult to double or triple jab people.
Results are encouraging on the trial - more here: https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2101544
