It doesn’t have to be perfect. USA played well and posed England some questions. No one really deserved to win or lose it.

Turn off the emotional investment and it’s so much easier to watch England.

You can argue about Robinson etc, but Southgate is empirically one of the best ever England managers. WC semi and Euros final must put him in the top three.

Yep, I agree and that's what he's done.

I'm going to be very, very outnumbered watching today (as in, on my own in a room full of Americans).
