The criticism in the last 2 to 3 transfer windows (based on our starts legitimate concerns) has been that the transfers have been too late.I know everyone is pissed off right now, and I sit at completely opposite end of the spectrum, but the negativity on here is draining at times.
Marcus McGuane is a very good league one player with the potential to go much higher and would be an excellent signing that shows real intent. The fact that this could be completed in April rather than August is also a sign that we're "getting our business done early" which so many have been screaming out for.
It's insane to say that one thigh injury makes him injury prone or a crock. It's football, players get injured! He's not the messiah, nobody has claimed that he is. But a midfield with Brannagan, Gorrin, McGuane, Leon Chambers-Parillon and possibly Sean Clare is looking good.
There's plenty to moan about, but Marcus McGuane ain't one of them!
We have to start better next season and getting business done earlier has got to be positive surely?
I also am.not quite sure how a thigh injury writes him off as a potential signing, but I am sure that somebody far better qualified than me will be able to explain the risks.
