Delighted with how KR has recruited players with pace in his squad totally different to what pep brought in last season in players like Mowatt once Johnson left & Hall was injured we had nothing in the team (pace wise)

Attacking options this year look like they have more pace and quality than last year. Hall, Browne and Whyte look to have the pace, Carruthers & Henry some creative spark, Mackie a workhorse with some quality thrown in, Obika & maybe Smith to lead the line?
Throw in Napa as he develops next season.

To the statto nerds out there: have we ever been promoted without a 20 goal striker? - Because I'm really not sure it's a mandatory for a successful season (granted it helps - but surely so would a 20+ assist provider)

In The Championship & League 1 last season there were only 4 players to reach 20 goals and none of them played for promoted teams. So no it’s not mandatory.
Won't be involved at MK on Friday according to Radox.
I'd rather have 4 players reach 10 goals each. Can see that with Obika, Henry, Whyte and Mackie.

Why do we want a 20 goal striker???, I'd rather have 3 or4 scoring plenty.. if we rely on one person getting the goals we'll be caught outt if he got injured.

After Hall came off tonight you could see why we have signed another pacey player, he caused them loads of problems that we couldn’t replicate second half without him.
Not certain about Napa from what I have seen so far, thought Baptise looked far more promising, so don’t think we can rely on him this season.

Have to be honest, but I have never heard of the player but happy to go with the flow and trust KR and the rest of the management team know more about what he can do than I.
Regarding the mythical 20 goal striker that a few are after. All very well stating we need one but could you clarify who will do fill that role.

I thought Napa played well. One of the best games he’s played for us. Still a developing player.
Only two teams had a 20 goal striker last season and neither of them even got into the playoffs.

I’ve mentioned before we probably need a striker who’s capable of getting 15 goals if either Okiba or Smith can get that a real bonus, I look at the players behind the main strikers get a lot more goals this season
Rob Hall if we get a full season injury free & in form should be getting double figures
James Henry if played in the number 10 role could get 10 goals or more again
Both Whyte & Browne unknown players in this league depending on how they adapt if they get anywhere close to double figures that would be decent return
Mackie not sure where he’ll play in this team but anywhere close to double figures would be a decent return aswell
Then Midfield players like Carruthers & Brannagan could get you half a dozen over a season even Ruffles has a few goals in him now & then
Nelson Dickie McMahon will chip in with a few along with McMahon getting assists through set pieces
Overall if this happens then we’ve got plenty of players who are capable of scoring enough goals in this league

Trouble getting Karacan, Smith and Holmes over the line.
Mackie, Whyte, Browne and Hall need game time before Barnsley and we only have one PSF left.

Appears to have a good relationship with Martinez (of equaliser at Boro fame). Assuming he asked his advice before signing, hopefully more evidence that young players see us a good place to develop.
