Why on earth ,did we have two big sections in the North stand empty, they knew they wouldn't be bringing many fans. They could of filled them up with complimentary tickets ,distributed from community groups & schools from all over Oxfordshire . Perfect game for it, playoff push, bank holiday, a chance to gather new fans.
If we don't get over 10,000 for three home matches, against playoff rival's,that probably bring decent support.
That will be disappointing...
Wouldn't suprise me & this would of never of happened years ago, especially at the manor. That they will out sing us & probably bring a drum. I studied the east stand yesterday, & I think there's a lot of fans that need to be put out to pastures new in the ground. Fill it up with the young Who want leap & bound about.. it needs energising... It looks like a load of ex London Roaders ,that should of retired to the beach road ,years ago.
If you know what I mean 😉
How many did Fleetwood bring?

I certainly didn't want to leave The Manor. I definitely want to leave The Kassam, however. A lesson in how not to build a football ground.
Mind you if it was built to original proper design....

The Manor was a total embarrassment by the end of the 20th century. Couldn’t wait to leave.

I’m also not in the Kassam is a soulless dump camp either . It’s definitely had its great moments over the last 22/23 years.

Predict we have 3 more seasons left there as well. (Why wouldn’t Kassam do a deal with us for the 26/27 season? )

I can’t see how the new stadium will be ready by August 2026. That is such a tight timescale.

Quite surprised to see players like Stockley Mayor and Broome come off the bench they were all decent players a while ago.i thought Stockley in particular looked awful.

Football attendances are generally higher now. Plus The Manor had a capacity lower than 10K when we left didn't it?
Well yes, but in our last season there we had some awful crowds and didn't sell pit the home parts of the final ever game at the Manor until the week of the game (around 8,000?).
Even in the Top Division we often didn't sell out games.
I do appreciate that crowds have increased since those days, but other than the glory years, crowds at the Manor were often pretty poor.

Mmmmmm whose we??????
I can definitely tell you me ,my mate's & associates & generations of family members did not , couldn't wait to leave the place. Do you think any Headington born & bred wanted to move from it's spiritual home???
Trust me & I know one hell of a lot of fellow yellows, old, young & new & sadly no longer with us.. the amount of people what's never attended or rarely attended the k****m says it all for me... On all different aspects, of reasons.i look through the manor days in Reality. A Thousand times better memories, than the k***m, on all levels..this forum is not a indicator of what most people on the street think. I personally think this forum is more of a exile's forum...
thats me - all all my kids , on the day they were born were taken, (by me), to the window at the end of the corridor of the delivery suites at the JR - the window from which the Manor ground could be seen from- and were all told (by me) while being held up 'that's the Manor, your team play there'

they were all to The Manor born

Yep👍 for me as a kid on a big cup match at night time. Going to Margaret road school, on the same road as quarry rovers one of , Headingtons original home .
Who I happened to play for, from 10 years of age to 16years of age. The buzz & talk all day at school, to come home - getting ready ,from your bedroom window seeing the floodlights in the distance was brilliant ,for me & my brother's,plus many others in Marston , northway & beyond. Yes my kid was born ,& overlooked the manor & he's Oxford til he dies.. sad we moved but we still go but we didn't want to leave.
We'll still be there when we move, again

Taylor Woodrow? Or was it them that started the build before the money ran out? No idea about the architects for the design.
Yes I remember Taylor's Woodrow & birch some where along the line. One of them pulled out.??

The saddest day for me, when we left the Manor

I think a win yesterday was pretty much a given.

Fleetwood are quite possibly the worst side I've watched (using the eye test) in L1 in years. I don't think I've ever seen so many attempted passes just go off the pitch in one game.
I thought Northampton were worse.

My Mum said she used to take me to nursery school in the Beech Road stand but there's no way of veryfying that now I guess

Some interesting gossip going around, apparently there is some discord amongst the coaching staff and, perhaps more importantly, amongst the board. Some staff even talking about quitting!
As said, just gossip, nothing concrete or substantiated.
was ther any follow up on this ML?
