New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

If someone knocked my door and I knew he would gladly see the demise of my football club who I’ve followed for over 40 years he might get more than just a few choice words
Yes, I understand, but abuse won't win us anything

Please don't do that.
Totally understand, it's what the pathetic man wants. He sees as scum and beneath him. Odds on him heading back to Kent when his political ambitions are exhausted in Oxfordshire anyone?

If the man does knock on your door, simply tell him in a calm manner that you are not voting for him due to his anti stadium, anti football, anti women, anti progress views. Don't be abusive - that's what he wants.

And ask how his being the Green Party candidate sits with him having owned a Jewellery business that requires products that are bad for the environment through mining or challenge him on his blatant lies about the stadium.

Funny that he would "jokingly" suggest this after Suzanne said about coaches last week

Walking space on Frieze way is an odd one, cycle lane maybe at a push, but I can't see anyone walking that far for where it takes you

I don’t live in the constituency he is standing in but I’ll be telling any Oxford Greens the same thing. As long as IM is involved in their party locally, they won’t be getting my vote in any election.

I think FOSB may not have considered the significant number of fans living in Bicester judging by the amount that have responded to the planning application - all within CDC and I haven't found one in objection.

Regardless of proximity, if CDC are to take into account the views of CDC residents, it's a no-brainer. Apart from the very clear Kidlington/Yarnton FOSB stooges and their copy and paste responses, it's looking very positive.

Still, more to be done. Get responding if you haven't done so already wherever you live. There's at least 3 or 4 from away fans including one from Swindon of all places (fair play).

Same here in Witney not that do anything as strange that seems to be a theme with greens big mouth litter action

Responses so far...

For: 203, 36-OX5, 88-CDC

Against: 27, 23-OX5,
2-wolvercote
1-Cutteslowe
1-Noke -CDC?

Headly. Looking at your stats:

Given the power of just about any minority group these days, (E.G. Cyclists in Bicester responsible for removal of the only working roundabout replacing and it with traffic lights….. for them to ignore) it seems the stadium project is doomed..

Excellent.

Numbers for from OX5? I suspect the antis win that battle but a good showing would at least be some ammo.

Every planning application will generate objections from those closest to it due to fear of change, disruption or traffic. Its the very reason why Nimbyism is a real and recognised thing.

But even neighbours objecting to the building of a rear extension have little validity if the planning application has followed due purpose.

A project like this will always benefit the far wider community as well as those in the OX5 postcode. It would be great to get supportive comments from all areas, but I wouldn't worry if there is an imbalance from local residents, in fact I would expect it.

Only have to look at the sheer numbers of objections on the great wolfe water park planning application and that still got through

I expected it but the numbers are in our favour in OX5 at present.
