New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

Good stuff, but I do wish All the local sports clubs would have been more vocal when Stratfield Brake was on the table.Might just have persuaded the kpc to at least consider it.
Kidlington Parish Council completely ignored attempts by the sports clubs to have meetings with the Council for a good year or so, yet had meetings with FoSB.

Absolute scumbags

Has anyone seen on the plans the removal of the bus lane on the Oxford rd one person on nextdoor keeps going on about it but I can't see anything on the documents to see if they are right or not

Ask them to source their claim. If they can't then it's not true. And again it is something that OUFC would have no say in, it's not part of the site.

Nice comment of FOSB

Given the cross pollination of KPC and FOSB I suppose it’s fairly easy for them to have meetings with each other, they are pretty much one and the same. Also explains why the snobs won’t sit down with local sports clubs, KPC are more of a nimby pressure group than a parish council, no interest in the role beyond making sure nothing gets built near them.

That’s the problem with very low turnout local “democracy”, if this shows anything it’s the need for wider sections of society to engage with it, if only just voting every time.

I read somewhere yesterday that there are plans for 150,000 new houses in cambridge taking the population to around 750,000...they'll need a new stadium with all that extra support
Cambridge currently has a population of around 150,000 so that seems a little high to go to 750,000 perhaps they mean the whole of Cambridgeshire

Indeed, the time for conjecture has passed. If it's not in the plans, it's simply not true.

My god. How can one person be so oblivious to the phrase "UP TO 2 hours"? It is plainly obvious that figure was the club covering themselves with a high estimate. Grounds empty really quickly in reality.
Need to make sure he doesn’t sneak on here, or he’ll find out that ‘up to two hours’ is quickly followed by 3-4 weeks, then a couple of months, before it’s ’back on the grass’, before the inevitable setback. I think we’re looking at road closures for up to 4 months.

Sad to say that I doubt we'll ever see that road open again.

At least not in this county.

They'll be a new bus lane on Bicester Road as part of works currently underway:

These works are fantastic by the way and will massively improve the connectivity and accessibility to the stadium.

Wonder if it was part of the plan all along?
I know someone who runs a local petrol station (not an OUFC fan) and he told some time ago that work was going to be happening on the roundabout with the stadium in mind.
