We’re at home, to a side who haven’t won in 4 games and have got 5 points from their last available 15.

We’ve had a β€˜free week’ to work on stuff on the training ground.

We have enough players back from injury to have to leave fit first teamers out of the matchday squad.

If we have any aspirations of finishing in the playoffs, we win this game.

Cheltenham are where they are because they had one of the worst starts to a season in history - didn't score until October 7th, didn't win a game until October 21st.
After twelve games this season, they had two points and one goal scored!

Since that catastrophic start, their form has been solidly midtable (W9, D5, L9) and they've actually picked up more points than we have in that span (32 vs. 30)....which is four and a half months long so not exactly insignificant, and mostly coincides with Clarke taking over.

So it ain't going to be easy tomorrow. But easy or not, we simply have to win if we're serious about going anywhere this season.....or even having much to play for by the time the calendar clicks over into April......

We can hope for the same performance levels as last week, with better luck in front of goal, but wouldn't it be nice to one day get an atmosphere like that at Fratton Park, that was immense

It does feel like three points tomorrow is now pretty imperative for our promotion chase.
Another draw just drags us slowly backwards.

About the same amount of points as us over that period.

Will last nights forum help the atmosphere?
Will the players play like they did last weekend?
Will Des take the handbrake off for 90 minutes?

If it’s a yes to those 3 then I can see a convincing 3 or 4 nil win.

Must win game, we should play 1-3-6 and see how we can boost our GD
