New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

Can we just bin the whole stadium idea and stage a 365 day beer festival on the site?
Who even needs a stadium? Just need jumpers for goal posts, then whoever's ball it is says who plays, and when it's time to go home regardless of the score line the next goal wins.

Sounds like a defeated man to me. Contradicting his "green credentials" to advocate private car usage and forgetting that OUFC have no say on a road closure.

Not forgetting his enthusiastic support for LTNs elsewhere in the county. You're a hypocrite Middleton.

Do you remember which document that was in
I haven't read every document (Has anyone? Will anyone?) but one of the one's I have downloaded states that traffic will be controlled by having marshals at the crossing points when large crowds are expected - closure was not mentioned.

Has anyone noticed anything different in the plans to when they were shown at the consultation events last year?

They don't appear to have taken any notice of the comments back then of the very small bar area or roof height at the home support end.

Has anyone managed to find in the documents which area(s) the safe standing will be?

Edit found it: This safe standing for the north stand and away corner.

We need to push the club to put safe standing behind both goals. The atmosphere will be better in the south stand.
Which document is that from, as I can't find it.

Nope, lots of us made suggestions on this, also the location of the safe standing area. All appears to have been ignored.

Looking at the sections with the scale line. The south stand has 26 rows of seats (row z). The height of the roof from the top row is approximately 7m. Contrast to the north stand which has only 22 rows of seats (row v) and a roof height between the top row of approximately 15m, that's over double the height with fewer rows of fans.

Why can’t some of the toilets have flexible allocation depending on the event? E.g for mens football a bunch of them could be swapped for men to use and then for an event with a higher female attendance change the sign over? Ok these ones will be cubicle only but I’m pretty sure at the O2 for boxing I’ve been in men’s toilets and they were only cubicles (most likely as they swapped them from women’s)

Can't please everyone. Thousands of different opinions.

On this occasion he does appear to have a point. One for the fans forum tomorrow night.

OCC will not sign the lease and Liz Leffman has specifically mentioned a bridge.

It's the only way OCC can stop the stadium so they won't give any leeway on that.

But only when it's full capacity I believe, which if we take it as at the kassam how many games he had that's been full capacity not many in 20 odd years.
There has to be some give and take on this issue, we have cut it down from 2 hours to half an hour we have cut it from every game to just high attendance. at the end of the day it's occ and highway who makes that decision to close a road not Oufc
