I would consider a keeper a defender, but clearly what I think is completely alien to everyone else and having a keeper taking up a spot on the bench all season is non-negotiable.

Nearly all managers do it and now you have seven substitutes but can only use 5 it’s hardly a sacrifice I suppose. I would say having goalkeeper, centre back and full back cover is fairly sensible, still leaves you 4 attacking substitutions.
 
I think Negru is more suited to an aerial bombardment than Thorniley.
Hasn’t looked confident since a few concussion injuries last season
 
Murphy looks so much better and more dangerous on the left. We should really play our most dangerous player in his best position
